is it normal to use your toothbrush as a pacifier?

Whenever I'm at home I brush my teeth after each meal and then let my toothbrush hang out of the side of my mouth. When I'm nervous I gently bite on it a little; family members and recent room mates have noticed my "toothbrush addiction" and find it to be odd. My toothbrush seems to comfort and remind me that I have good oral hygiene. A little weird I assume but that's alright :)

My wife uses her electric toothbrush as a vibrator. Turns it over and she has great orgasms with it!

I go through phases where I like to have something small in my hand to just play with randomly. For years it was a dog whistle. Then I had a plastic braille tag. At work, it's most often a pen. I think it's a destressing thing. Some people pay hundreds for those executive toys but some small plastic everyday object works just as well.

You don't smoke, by the way, do you? When I was giving up, I really noticed the absence of something in my hand or mouth and subconsciously started carrying straws around with me. I didn't even notice until my friends pointed it out.

Yeah, I don't smoke, just find a toothbrush to be a "safe" thing to gnaw on. It probably makes me feel secure?
