"never trust a man who hates a dog" iin?

I heard this once and I don't know if it's a truism. Not fear but hatred of all dogs. Maybe never say never is more true. Has anyone else heard this saying about dogs and what do they think?

I don't think I've heard this saying, but my take on it (perhaps it's a stretch) is be wary of people who hate animals. It's true that people who are violent towards animals are more likely to be violent towards humans. People practice and prove to themselves that they can be cruel/kill animals before moving onto humans.

I don't trust ANYONE who doesn't like animals. I mean that in complete honesty.

I'd say it's valid. (from experience)

Most of the people that I've known to hate dogs were untrustworthy people.

Generally the hatred goes both ways. They hate dogs because dogs hate them. The dogs hate them because they're untrustworthy.

I don't know if they pick up on body language, or how they do it, but dogs can tell when someone has bad intentions.
I have seen it several times.

    One Example:
My last 2 dogs would follow suspicious people around (not in a friendly way) when they came to my house and bark or bite the moment they did something wrong.
They were always friendly to people that had no intention of wrongdoing.

Hey I thought this about girls who hate cats. If they do it usually doesn't work out.

Dumb. Go with "don't trust anybody" instead.

  • The funniest thing about it is that I love dogs, and am one of those few people who can command even strangers dogs right off the bat.

And yet I am the last person anybody should trust, it's fucking scary in my head.

  • Some people fear animals; as a result they sometimes say they "hate" them. I don't think it makes them untrustworthy, though. The same way liking dogs a lot doesn't automatically make a person trustworthy; they could be a massive jerk for all I know.

muslims hate dogs, almost as much as they hate Jews, us non-believers and each other.

That pretty much says it all. It's one thing not to like dogs-I get that, but dog-haters are scum.

No. In many countries, dogs are viewed as filthy animals, but it doesn't make the people in the country all bad. It's cultural standards. We view cows as dumb pieces of meat while the Indians revere them.

Never trust a person who loves a dog! In addition to engaging in acts of bestiality with their ass-licking, shit-eating parasites, owners suffer from the condition called coprophilia, an abnormal attraction to feces. Otherwise, they wouldn't walk around behind some fleabag watching it take a dump and -- if they live in some places -- then bend down and scoop up a big pile of shit.

Dog owners also have proven themselves to be coprophiliacs by the number of people who keep paralyzed dogs instead of shooting them or having them put down. A dog that is paralyzed can't piss and crap on its own, the urine and excrement have to be expressed. The internet is full of videos, etc. explaining how to "express" piss and shit from paralyzed dogs and the dog freaks love these sites so much they sometimes crash!

I guess I'm moonbow et al, though I love cats and I dont think moobbow does. Anyway I would love to meet a guy that shares my ... wont say hatred but dislike of dogs. Btw, if you're a cute guy with a cat, doen't listen to the dogf'rs... it's not gay... most women will think that's fucken hot, i know i do- cat people shows sensitivity and patience (No Iam not a crazy cat lady and I'm not talking about people who have a million cats. 1 is enough for me and i clean up so it doen't smell like cat piss. and I have seen way more crazy dog people than cat people, just that cat people typically arent as judgemental to point it out) So I guess it can go the opposite for some

Aww :( I didn't mean it like that. Just because I love dogs, doesn't mean I think all people should.

I just meant there are specific users on here who go apeshit with hatred and disgust and bile spewing whenever there's an animal post (particularly dogs)

      Sorry :(

lol no worries, don't be sorry. You are the only dog lover that's actually responded nicely...
anyway, I know what you mean they do go crazy (aparently I do too) but I somewhat agree with them (or at least, get a kick out of their trollish rantings). but I don't wish death on other's pets or anything like they do sometimes. and I don't treat any animal badly, I pet other people's dogs (and wouldnt sue if they bite me), just don't really like them as pets. Yeah they are cute and friendly...sometimes... everyone loves dogs (it is the norm) so it can get frustrating, when you don't feel the same...

Hah I don't think I've ever seen you go crazy...I always like your posts because you seem like a nice, smart, rational person. That can sometimes feel like a rare occurence on IIN :P (even though I know that's actually a large number of people...)

Yeah, I just can't understand the mentality of "I like this so everyone must! RAH!"...or the opposite :/) for things that really are minor in the big scale of things. So what if someone doesn't like dogs? As long as they don't hurt them, like you say, then whatever. If someone is scared of my dog and expresses that, or doesn't want to go near her (and honestly I don't either, sometimes hah) then I don't immediately think "Oh my god what a cunt" and abuse them :/ It actually makes a nice change from people throwing themselves all over the dog. We've had people stop their cars to get out and compliment our fucking stupid dog (I love dogs, but that's fucking crazy...)

And kitty's are cute :) I miss the kitty that lives in my apartment block, even though he tries to kill me :( He was so soft and pretty, even if he does shit in the stairwell.

Animals are innocent kind of like children. So most people will hold them in higher regard. It might be believed that someone cant even stop at animals that they have no limits at all. A person without limits is very dangerous. Also if you hate animals I probably cant stand you since I adore all sort of animals. I have sympathy for those we take for granted though. Like Children, animals and crazy people.
