why can see millions of tiny dots everywhere i look?

i have been aware of this for as long as i can remember, i will try my best to describe what i can see. what i can see is millions of millions of tiny tiny dots flying in all directions, up down, diagonall, around. they appear to be in more concerntration in darker light, i can see them with my eyes shut and open, when i was young 3-5 i interpreted them as 'atoms' but i have disreagarded this theory, now i seem to be able to contol them, make them fly in directions i want them to, and make them circulate objects and when i shut my eyes to form numbers and letters, it is all very odd and it isnt black blindness dots, its more like the pixels on a tv screen but constantly shooting in all directions , is it normal? is there any explination?

I have a question for everyone who can see them like me. I hope you'll answer it. Being able to see the dots everywhere does that make you able to imagine stuff and actually see it but not like imaging someone standing I front of you more like being able to see a black shadowy figure in the dark, being able to make everything blurry somehow without explanation, making lights grow bigger to you when you make things blurry, when you see a light your able to move it or being able to make your sight move really fast Example : your looking around but your also able to do that really fast anyway you want to. PLEASE ANWSER it would mean a lot to me if you did :) ThankYou!

Everything you described is what I see as well. This has happened since I can remember. As a child, it scared the living shit out of me lol I have always slept with the lights on or with the tv on because of it. Yesterday night before I went to sleep, I decided enough was enough and I decided to just turn off the lights. I opened my eyes and I saw thousands of little lights like you described. Also saw dark shadows (not in the figure of a person, just like blobs) it was interesting because the small lights didn't scare me this time, it was interesting. I kept staring at them, it looked like the stars in the night sky. The odd part was that as I was staring at it all, it was like all of the "stars" we're looking at me with fascination as well. Then my mind started making up stories and I got freaked out and turned the lights on again. Lol Thank you for your post! I don't feel so alone and freaked out as much!

I almost cried when I found this thread tbh. I’ve felt like I was crazy my whole life because people made me feel that way when I described this to them. What I see is little tiny red dots, much much much tinier than a grain of salt. They’re in a pattern much similar to that of what they print on polka don’t dresses or blankets, if that makes sense. They sit or blink in and out together. I can still see normal day things, the dots are just over everything. I typically don’t see them until I remember I can see them. Behind the tiny tiny red dots I occasionally see black and white waves, similar to what you see in a fuzzy old tv screen but much more eclectic. I’ve always referred to them as “atoms,” I’m so glad I’m not the only one.

Perhaps what we are seeing is in fact the particles that make up reality , perhaps but consider this , when you get a head rush these dots become more concentrated in face what it could be is blood flow to the eyes and brain , we are seeing the blood vessel that make up our visual reality all the time , it’s a bit like how we tend to ignore our nose as the brain knows it’s constantly right in front of us , but if you have an active mine like mine , and many of you , you can’t deny but to be curious with perhaps fear or wonder , keep in mind when smoking pot this effect is enhanced in fact this could be dude to the difference in blood flow when stoned , now I’m no doctor but just think maybe it’s that simple , which then I ask another question if it’s just blood then is everything we do merely interpreted by our life line of blood our own way of maintaining this organism , some deep thinking but it’s good for thought , a scientist should look into this as it’s also could be a way to show are own imagination cross with the physical conditions of ourselves at the time .

I have been trying to know what's my problem because I have exactly the same thing. I thought I had a super power when I was young. It turns out to be a defect of the eyes that is uncommon. I have my problem check out by the institute of glucomb of Montreal.

The results are simple and complex at the same time. The institute acknowledges that it is a defect but there is no known way to rectify this problem. Since it does not aggravate with time they simply told me to tough it up. It cost me over 2000$ to know that!

So don't worry you don't have anything alarming. No super powers ;)

        Hope this helps

I went through,, a lot to make this account. I’m not a medical professional but my guess on this is dissociation or adhd. Dissociation can cause visual alterations like changes in size and shape and adhd is when the brain needs more stimulation than a normal persons. The brain is constantly searching for more stimulation so when you’re in a dark room, it creates something to compensate. This can be supported by a torture method of putting someone in a white room and depriving them of all stimulation so hallucinations occur. The same effect can be achieved with a method of floating in water in a dark box with no sound (I forgot what it’s called.) on the other hand, I have adhd and am on 50mg of vyvanse (fairly high dosage) and it’s an amphetamine/stim so if my theory were correct then I should’ve noticed a change when put on. Sadly I didn’t pay attention but if I recall I noticed it less while on rhisperidone for bipolar disorder but that could’ve been a coincidence since it was for a short time. I’ve had this as far back as I remember and have found no explanation nor no damage. It most definitely is not particles your eyes cannot see that small and it most definitely is not the 5th dimension. Quantum physics has nothing to do with this, I’m in AP physics and a research class this is not 1)energy 2)the 5th dimension anyone saying that has zero understanding of quantum physics or quantum mechanics 3)ghosts. I was adopted so I can’t say much but I’d assume it’s genetic as are many mental disorders that could be causing this since many said their mothers also experienced this. Maybe it’s passed down through females? Another possibility could be psychosis maybe? Probably not and I’m not too knowledgeable on that topic but maybe?? Anyhow I’m just a 15 year old so sorry for any inaccuracies in what I’ve written!!

Sorta late on this post, but I see them too. It's not floaters because I've had floaters before and they're completely different. And it's not retinal detachment, I've seen these billions of dots my entire life. I actually misunderstood them for atoms as well. I've also heard of a thing called Visual Snow but it's not that either because these dots can be easily ignored.

Exactly how I felt, eye doctors cheat the fucking system, all they do is tell you from what they learn off books what's wrong with you based on what you tell them you see. Eye doctors piss me the fuck off and I get more help off the internet then having the eye doctor to numb up my fucking eyes.

I’m so happy I’m not alone in this!! But I see more than just spots; best ways to describe- first there are tons of shadowlike dots, not black or white, they are just there... then there are white lightt (brightness differentiates) tiny spots, less fewer of these but they move in all different directions. And there is also a field that looks like the waterish- plasma scene from Preditor that swirls in motion- also there are little larger light blueish orbs but just a few of them and usually within a white very thin smokey:cloudy area. I have always had 20/15 vision so I know it’s not an eyesight issue. I do believe it’s energy of some sort and if I’m being still and focusing, I can watch the white lights come to me and feel them like little taps touching my skin.
This just started about a month or 2 ago.

I don't know why everyone can't see it, but more and more are starting to. Most of us started as children. I too had the same response from my mother when I asked her about the auras around trees. It made her uncomfortable so I didn't mention anything else I saw. Funny because she believed in ghosts, taught me how to tell fortunes with cards and how to use a dower to find things when around 10. When she passed her younger sister told us that we were descendants of witches? Kind of crazy I know but I think they saw things too but we're punished for it. Keep looking someday you'll see behind the veil one step closer and more questions lol

I have another theory as I know our eyes cannot see in the highest possible resolution and soon our screens will be able to display images with too many pixels for the human eye to see so it is entire,y possible what we are seeing are infact the "pixels" of our eyes as compared to other animals our eyes are crap.
Or not just closed my eyes and managed to form a few clusters of brightly coloured ones for the first time and MY LAST THEORY IS SO WRONG these look amazing

lm late to this topic but came across this post and may have some insight to add ! I too am aware of these tiny millions of colourful lights and some times flashes also appear whilst in a dark room...I noticed when I was a teenager and on up to my thirties now... still seeing these ! I don't think they are floaters as floaters are more protein based particles that float over the pupil.. a retinal detachment would be severe and one should seek medical attention... these dots and nodes seem to be what I now know to be called ETHERS.. and these ethers surround the whole human body acting as a force field, this is why it seems to be all around the room wherever you look but in fact surrounding ones entire body, they are known also as an AURA, check out : Kirlian photography https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirlian_photography

These tiny dots or ethers can be controlled by one using the power of the mind or WILL POWER which can be taught, the art is meditation ! if one learns to control these this leads onto a natural phenomenon... this is what is expressed in the movie star wars being the FORCE AWAKENS, your AWAKE (aware) and you see the (FORCE) tiny dots surrounding you... now the challenge is to mentally control these and send them in the required direction you choose, kinda like an X-man or X-women yes its an ancient science if you like to know more please do let me know... these dot n nodes energy field ties into a bigger magnetic grid and the rainbow and other energy fields... we see with our eyes only a portion of the electromagnetic grid, we don't see gamma rays, x-rays, infrared etc the portion we see is the white light from the suns rays but with a prism that white light is broken down into its primary colours, if you understand absorption and refraction then you understand how this energy from our sun plays such a big part on our sight, we have a solar plex area at the pit of our stomach or navel seat this area is a solar sun and reflects light also so one has the ability to draw light out of darkness this light is reflecting this energy field around the human body simply the human AURA...

    Listen
For those few that see billions of pixels in all colors in every inch of space, you have a gift. Some that control the flow and direction is close to their power of telekinesis. First separate one color from the rest and practice from that point. P.s. floaters or that patch of color u see from lookin at light or from closing your eyes tight are not the samething. If the light u see is white seek a doctor. Once you master this keep it to yourself. There are other like us.

I know it may sound strange too but when I was around 4-5 i could float salt in the air....I got in trouble and yelled at to stop and have never been able to do it since. I also see the most beautiful white light glittery flying tiny dots leaving short trails of light...hundreds ( not millions and millions like the red dots) sometimes, like a dozen times a year usually in areas of high light. First noticed them looking out an airplane window....they are beautiful and graceful and fill me with this utter sensation of pure love...so hard to expain. Btw I have 9 years of college in medical sciences under my belt and am far lunacy, lol.

I was born in 1998,mid September. I've always been able to see them but I've never tried to manipulate them. I see different colors (red, green, blue, yellow, white) all the time but they seem a lot more solid and bright in the dark. I've also seen shadows and sometimes I hear things (like the phone ringing) before it happens, I don't know if these two things are connected.

I used to experience this nightly as a child. I would be wide awake in my dark room and I would see little colored dots floating all around. My room would be full of them. I could wave my hand through them and they would move. It also seemed like the dots flowed through me. They would appear to go in one side of my body and out the other. I was never scared of them, they seemed normal to me. I remember asking a few people that would be sleeping in my room sometimes if they saw them, but the answer was always no. The dots gradually disappeared over time and I've never seen them again. I have 20/20 vision and am perfectly normal and do not have any psychological problems. I will say that I'm a huge dreamer and I have had very vivid dreams throughout my life that will come somewhat true. They are usually about someone that I havent seen in years, and low and behold....I will run into that person the next day. I don't tell people in my everyday life about that because I don't want people thinking I'm nuts. Don't know if they are related or not.

My expirence is very similar. Ever since I was a child around 5 years old i could see thousands of tiny dots of all colors flying around my room. The dots would appear to float down from one corner of the room and then in a few minutes all the dots would go back to the corner like they were getting sucked back. After they all disappeared a new color or shape would float down. After a few years I could make the dots whatever color I wanted or even what shape they were. I am able to grab a handful of these dots and save them before they are sucked back. The only time I was really scared of these dots was when I was watching them all of a sudden two bright orange and green streaks of light rushed across my bedroom wall almost lighting up that side of the room. I am glad I'm not the only one that can see them.

Children aren't "blocked" as I call it. They're open to what they feel and see so they are better at seeing energy. I had this since I could remember and used to practice manipulating it. Years later I could form balls, pull energy from around me , packing it onto the ball, and then open my eyes and see it cradled in my palm- only lasts a few seconds though then it breaks apart into colored swirls and disappears.

I tried to do the same. I ended up able to change the colors of the dots. I got really good at it too. Years later I started to see shadow figures almost like a play was being acted out but I never seen their face just black

I am the same! I saw millions of red dots which multiplied and then clustered. I could control it. I too used to dream the next episode of life! At the age 4-5 years old I dreamt a day of school and then just as the dream it happened... I began to think it was negative and payed as was so scared and by the age of 7 the prediction dreams stopped. I thought I was crazy until (now mid adulthood) decided to google and saw this post. Reading very similar explanations made me feel normal!

i dont think it is connected with headaches and what i see is not floaaters, what i see is alot of single atom like orbs floating around and sometimes the connected in a strand of them and some will have a black dot right in the center. any input is welcome besides that from dumbasses saying its floaters cuz it isnt.

I have it too but don't know what it is. I think everybody has it. Maybe some people don't notice? I think they are gas molecules because they tend to just shoot in whichever direction they want. Plus, I noticed that when I fly, there aren't as many dots and they are easier to see. This makes sense because the air is at a lower pressure and thus lower density. This is my theory anyway.

Much like everyone else here (though I'm late to the party).... I'm also glad I'm not the only one. I spoke to one of my employees and they see it as well though not as prevalent as I do. As a child, they drove me crazy, especially at night... eyes open or closed (which made it extremely difficult to sleep). I gained control over this but I can still see them day or night if I focus on them. I also noticed that when I fly they are far less concentrated and actually are pure white light moving in seemingly random patterns just outside the window. We should all start a support group.... haha...

I just finished bed time talk with my 9 year old daughter, a little worried after listening to her confession saying that she's been seeing all these dots ever since she can remember, she's been playing with them, changing colors and directions, sometimes forming all different shapes. For example she made a Christmas tree because they were geeen and red. At first i asked if she's been experiencing eye sight problem, but she said no. So i told her that it must be something very special and shows that she's talented in visualizing and has creative imagination. She actually is very talented in drawing(declared not wanted to be a drawing artist because she can't live on it LOL), so i thought it was the best way to relieve her.
I was both surprised and worried, but now feel a little better after reading comments here. I think it won't harm her in any ways, basing on what people here with same experience say how they're doing. Thank you guys.

Hello all of you. Stop worrying, I have seen patterns dancing in color and pixels etc. too. I am in my 70's and it has not done anything harmful to me yet. Doctors do not know, sad for them. I can read, use a computer, drive and see pixels. When I close my eyes I get to enjoy the most amazing light show of color and patterns for as long as I wish so I just watch the pixels and lights dance, until I choose to shut it off and go to sleep or go do something else. Some people take hard core drugs such as LSD to get that effect, lucky us, we do not need to. I also do a meditation while relaxing and watching the patterns of our cells in our eyes? Blood moving? Pixels? Molecules? The universe is made up of billions of things smaller than the atoms are we seeing that? Sometimes I do see movements (shadows too), but I just believe that their are more dimensions out their and we have been blessed with some extra pleasures to enjoy.

I also see aura like colours around objects. Around my hand it changes sometimes, but it's mostly yellow, and I've taken an auto questionnaire and it's always been my primary aura, if anyone understands what I'm talking about lol. Around pure green things it's pink, blue it's orange, red it's turquoise and vice versa, and the colours that are mixed from them are the opposites mixed. White and black don't have one as far as I know. Anyone else experience this?

I'm new here, and I've finally had the nerve to finally search this question. Late on the post, I know, but I've had these dots ever since I was a child. They come as different colours to me and I see them nearly all the time. They fly in all directions, sometimes they appear out of nowhere. Most of the time though I can control them. It kinda makes me feel different, but if everyone is saying they see them, maybe it is normal. Or maybe not. :-/

Im definitely one of those people who is perfectly fine not understanding everything that goes on. However some people are not and that's fine but they, in a way fear the unknown and turn to science to figure out what it is they don't understand. Regardless, since I was little I have seen these dots that youre talking about, I knew I wasn't the only one because my mum also can see them. My theory is that these particles buzzing around or whatnot are seen by people who are "open" or intuitive like you can pick up peoples vibes/energy and always tell when their angry or sad or happy. Anyway what I see is what I believe to be energy I don't know what it's doing floating around the air or why I can see it. Also when I stand in front of a full body mirror usually in a dim lit room and really focus on my face, like stare for 30 seconds or more you can see these dot are already formed around you to create an outline of your body, I think that might be your aura, it's quite amazing, and as you stare longer almost sink into your vision in a way and control the light around you. You see everything around you like colours, splashes or streams of colour and waves of these dots it extraordinary. Anyway if you're reading this and you're rolling your eyes because you believe this to be complete crazy talk or that I'm on drugs that's okay I just believe that there's something more to this than blood cells or floaters or whatever term u want to explain it with. Because if u can see them too, when you see them you know it's something else like pure and just feel like its something unexplainable

Hi there, let me put it straight to those that say it is floaters. It isn't. I know what floaters look like and when I was a child, these dots or spots used to keep me up for hours! These moved and looked completely deferent to floaters. Floaters usually move out of your direct line of sight when you try and look directly at them. Floaters are outline shapes that are completely different to what I saw as a child. The dots were usually red or green and I could see these snaking around the room in liniar patterns. They were in rows of hundreds and I could change the direction and colour of them. Pretty sure it was not a detached retina because this was nearly 30 years ago and I still have 20/20 vision. These are not floaters, I know what these look like. Anyone that suggests it is, has not seen these dots like many of us have and can not really comment on this. I really do want to know what this is. I no longer have it, but it has confused me for many years.

Little balls of light moving around seemingly randomly; like a cluster of mosquitos flying in a group, but they dont jut stay in one area. Sound about right? I've seen these for a while too and I'm leaning towards it being energy in the air, because no matter where you go or how dark or bright it is its still there. I see them in the air and on objects, like my skin or on walls. Its not floaters, its not retinal detathment.

They're called eye floaters and they're caused by collagen in the squishy part (about 2% collagen, 98%water) of your eye clumping together and precipitating. The speed is depended on how fast you move your eyes when you see them and freak out lol. Moving your eyes suddenly and then stopping in one direction can give those little clumped particles the energy to travel in a different direction. Eye floaters look similar to air bubbles under a microscope. The collagen in your eye helps it to keep its round structure.

Energy is NOT a thing. It's a concept that shows how much possibilities you can act force upon ... something. So how do you see energy ? I think it's more likely to be the imperfection of our eyes ( sorry for fancy words, I can't think of anything else ). Like the receptors on our eyes work differently ( like the speed it needs to get to the brain and the speed it takes the brain to processes the information ). Who knows ? I'm more of a physicist than a biologist ( at least trying to be )

I never feared it nor it made me feel safe... I thought it was normal after all. That everyone is seeing them as well or can see them if they really try hard. I even thought of it as an atom but i know thats bullshit cause we cant see atoms with our naked eye. Still, i have no idea what is this thing or what causes it. Do i have precognituve dreams? Like dreaming of something that is about to happen? Yes. I had this a few times. Sometimes i dream of the same exact thing but most of the times, i dream close to what is in my dreams. I also get that deja vu feelings like i know same thing thats currently happening has happened to me before. Its also funny how i can predict simple things like professors not coming to class or exams being moved but i know its totally luck. When i was a kid, i had not much to do so i can focus and play with them for ours. I see them with my eyes closed or open. I can also see them in light or dark but i see them clearer in the dark. I went through,, a lot to make this account. I’m not a medical professional but my guess on this is dissociation (which is why I wanted to ask you) or adhd. Dissociation can cause visual alterations like changes in size and shape and with adhd (I’m sure you know but I’ll explain to anyone else viewing this) is when the brain needs more stimulation than a normal persons.

I've had this since I was a child. I would just stare at solid surfaces and study it. I have generalized anxiety. No autism diagnosis, but likely a sensory processing disorder that falls on the spectrum. I also may have had mild synesthesia as a child but later learned to separate. I still have sensory experiences that I never realized weren't normal until researching (also studying sensation and perception)

  • staticisreal

I, like most of you, began playing with the colours in the air as a child. Laying in bed collecting the different streams of colour balls (almost looked like cartoon DNA threads) in my hands and then setting them free. I think I was also able to collect and change them to whatever colour I desired.

Now, as an adult I don't see the colours anymore. Only the static (like on a channeless tv station) and shapes where they gather. And looking at it comes with a fear that I never felt as a child. I'm not sure if this fear is because maybe subconsciously I feel what I'm doing is odd, or because it's been programmed into me to prevent me from further exploring what this is.

I have seen colours again twice in my adult life, but they differ from when I was a child as they are more 'sparkles' and 'flashes' than floating connected dots. Once I saw them when I was being intimate with a person I believe may have been a soul mate, and the other is when I look at my son in low light. Both times I saw flashes of purple. And both were in times of intense love.

    My questions for you:

-Have to seen specific colours when around certain people or when experiencing intense emotion?
-Do you feel fear when you stare into the static, or try to make something of it?
-Did any of you who saw this as children experience migraines as a child as well?
-How many of you also have predictive dreams? (I do as well!)
-Did any of you as children ever believe that this world is a dream and that someday you would wake up from it?
-Do any of you remember where you were before you came to this world? (I have a memory of floating in a place like space. Feeling peaceful, and surrounded by blackness and stars)
    - Do any of you believe that what we are seeing is perhaps another dimension which is existing on top of ours?

I wonder what would happen if a group of us got together and worked at this together....

Thanks for reading and for sharing this incredibly personal part of yourselves with all of us!!

A grid of dots that seem to be staggered like the stars on the American flag. I am not able to focus on just one dot because focusing is extremely hard. The more I focus on a dot, the more I notice that the dots surrounding it are about to form an image which makes me lose track of the dot in question. I believe this is where all visuals come from - in the mind's eye.

With a black background, it seems that these dots are initially brown, then they change color depending on the object that is about to spawn.

My view on how an object is spawned from this grid of dots:
It seems as if these dots connect with each other in a water-like to gas-like manner. It's like looking at the clouds for a while until it turns into an object. But water-like because of the transparency. Then the color and object gets more definition.

    With my eyes opened...
    Precondition:
I'm outside on a clear day. My eyes are open and looking at the blue sky (no real clouds present).

    Visuals:
To best describe what I see... Its like when Superman shoots a beam from out of his eyes. But the beam is like a tunnel of translucent fog that seems to propagate away from my eyes and into infinity. It resembles what happens to the dots right before they turn into an object.

Email me so that we can create a diagram on Google Drive's Draw.IO to illustrate this from everyone's point of view and hope to find some sort of further understanding.

Energy, frequency, wavelength. I've seen these ever since I could remember. I have also seen atom like bright dots laced with an occasional black dot. (matter/antimatter?) So few of us have this and we're unique. I feel we are more in tune with the Universe and it's energy. They can label us with "eye conditions", but when you've experienced this your whole life, all things normal otherwise, I say no it's not medical, it's something else. I can also make street lamps go out as well as I approach them either in a car or walking.

Hello I have experienced very simular things. I also have a portable ac in my house and when I stare at it i see the air moving from it and i can see which direction it travels as well. In the past when i have gone under street lights it seems like they have gone off a lot of times when i passed by and i would concentrate and seemed as though i caused them to go out. I thought maybe it was in my head but maybe it was me lol. But i do see the static like engery in the air all around me.

Wow I cannot believe that I'm not the only one. I've had these dots since I was a child. I've told every doctor, and they all looked at me like I was crazy. Today I found out that it's energy!!! I not only see tiny tiny balls with white dots, but some look clear and every once in a while there are a few dark ones. I believe the dark ones are negative energy. We're not crazy, we're all normal :)

I started seeing them when I was like 14, never before I seen or noticed them, millions of black dots, I would say pulsating, or appearing and disappearing, flying in all random directions and irregular paths in a busy chaotic motion, like bees, maybe fruitflies.
I was mindblown when I first noticed them, they were so pronounced against a gray and cloudy sky. At first I I think I thought that I could actually see either the moisture particles in the air, because of the cloudy weather, or some electrostatic energy in the air due to a possibly upcoming storm.
I was still baffled cause they looked so real, and then I noticed them on a clear blue sky as well then I said to myself; maybe it's just something to do with the limits of our eyes... But now I know that what I was seeing was my own blood cells O.o

    <a href="http://indianapublicmedia.org/amomentofscience/tiny-moving-dots/" rel="nofollow">http://indianapublicmedia.org/amomentofscience/...</a>

The only problem I have with this explanation is, that I find it weird, that they only manifest against the sky. Like the sky is their element, the only element where they can be seen. Somebody here said they saw them on a grey wall too, but I don't recall ever seeing them on a wall.

I think what a lot of you guys are seeing are the white blood cells shooting around your eyes like when you look at a blue sky I'm aware of this and can identify it but I get something a bit different it happens even in dim lit rooms its liked uniformed tiny fragments of light and if you centre your attention you can see sort of a symmetric vibrating shape if you pay close enough attention, it's even there with closed eyes and can be of different colours

Late, late, late, but I don't think that's it. We can't control where blood goes to in our body, but we can control these dots. White blood cells would be larger and they would just float around annoying us. We can get used to these colorful particles and manipulate them if we practice enough. It's totally weird but it is what it is.

      Nice try though!

But last week I got high af and I swear to God like no joke at all I started looking at these static like pixels and they turned into matrix like code. Shit completely freaked me out I could see individual strands and could kinda make out my friends when in closed my eyes but through green coding. I looked up to stars and it was split into hexagon shapes that all connected like it was a chicken little plane part that theybmafe the fake sky outve under Meath thier ships I started completely flipping out I closed my eyes and looked down and had to take some breaths but I like came back too and was fine

Too late.. I saw those bilions dots since ever, though, there are nights where if there is no light in the room if i focused on looking at the dots (with closed eyes) i would see a VERY bright light, as if someone literally pointed with a flash light, and no it wasn't my imagination because it literally felt like a bright light pointed at me, even after i opened my eyes, so as a kid i kept my lamp on to avoid this, and lately it's not happening, maybe cuz i never tried to focus on the dots, anyway thanks for making that post, glad im not alone :D, tbh i knew i wasn't but as a kid i asked my mom and she said she can't see anything, i thought it was just me and my brother :) (also if i focus i can easily see the dots in day light, but in darkness it's easier).

Oh, and even though I stopped paying attention to them in the dark as I grew older, I never lost seeing them everytime I close my eyes. I think it's mostly because what happens on the inside of me feels real, whereas nobody I knew could see them with their eyes in the dark.

Why couldn't I have found this sooner? As a kid I could control them. Sometimes I'd have to go to bed when I wasn't tired so I was left in the dark with my imagination. I could control these dots and make them move in any direction. After a bit shapes and objects would form from them. I liked looking to see what was created and what I could crate as well. Side note: when I look into the sky I see something different. Dots that are bigger. There are more black than white dots but they move in the same way. There are also less of them. I only noticed that RE entry because my eyes were always too sensitive to look into the sky. I just recently started paying attention to all this again and last night I kept open my eyes. I got to the point where u could control flows of the scattering dots into what I would call as a kid "rivers". But I couldn't control it for very long. A few seconds. It seems like something from the imagination to be able to control it. Maybe what helps us make dream pictures? Why isn't there more research on this haha

Oh! I've had these my whole life. Luckily for me, mine are subtle and rarely trouble me, though I remember them being much more noticeable when I was little. Mine are colored dots, usually red or green, sometimes other colors, and sometimes all white, but always the same shapes, like tiny donuts in a grid. I have to sort of unfocus my eyes a bit to see them clearly, and I can see them most often and most clearly in the dark or as I am falling alseep. If I move my eyes in a particular direction, sometimes the whole field of dots will appear to move toward a vanishing point in the direction I'm looking, and then vanish and fade out, and then be replaced with a different field or color, so there's some sense of being able to control the movements of the spots by moving my eyes, but they come and go more or less at random.

When I was a kid and sick in bed I used to pretend that they were little healers and try to direct them into my body to make me well, but it was totally a comfort thing that I made up in my head, and I doubt that they had any effect. It does make me wonder, though, if they were more prominent/noticeable when I was sick.

As an adult I have tried halluginogens, but they can't be from that, as I had these long before I ever touched anything in that realm. I find that on psychedelics I have VERY strong visuals and visual patterns, and they somewhat resemble the colors and forms of the bright lights, so I will guess that they are something in the brain and not something pragmatic like air molecules or energy, as appealing as the whole "we're special and we can see energy" storyline is. I looked up the wikipedia articles on visual snow, and there's hints that this type of visual phenomena might be linked to damage or differing function of the Lingual Gyrus, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lingual_gyrus, which if you read up on it even a little bit, it makes a lot of sense that we might just have slightly different brains.

I'm now a visual artist and I am a highly imaginative and creative type, so I'd not be surprised to find out that there was some link between this and being a highly visual person in general.

Hope this helps! Glad to find that I'm not the only one.

i searched around in various sites about this «symptom» i know what floaters are and unfortunately i got them i see them when i look at bright lights. but thats not what im talking about, sometimes at night when im in my bed i see yellowish dots that resemble fireflies they do not follow my eyes actually they usually go the other direction as if the particles knew i was looking at them they dont sparkle its more like a weird glow, and they dont follow a pattern they twinkle in the air just like fireflies, im not insane i dont do drugs i dont drink and i dont know any eye problem that causes to see little dots in the dark, they are not many sometimes one or two never more. i really would apreciate if someone could explain this to me cause that is not floaters ive been wondering for some time what that might be and i have no reason for it. besides ive haven floaters for years and this only has happen to me in the past 2 years. here one video that shows more or less what im talking about https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zse4nqtda0I if you know something please contact me it disturbs me here my email: [email protected]

I see these too. I only recently started talking about it with others (a close friend and with my mom), but I've had it for many years. I first noticed it back in 1996 I think, and I was with some close friends, and named them the "patterns in the black".

What I see is sparkling tiny dots of light that fill all space. It's not like I can see one and look at it. It's way tinier than that, and it's not like a few here or there. There are millions filling every bit of space. It's more like being underwater but the water is made up of mostly transparent tiniest droplets like 1/10000000th the size of a droplet, and they are bright and in maybe sort of the colour of stars, like redish, bluish, and yellowish points of light but very faint and gentle and completely filling all the air.

And I LOVE seeing them!!!!!! It's really comforting and dear to me. I sometimes lie in bed at night and just look at them and it comforts me that I still see them.

My friend and my mom didn't seem to see what I was describing, but I thought probably they could or do, but are not used to noticing them or using their sight in that way or something.

I also used to think maybe they were atoms or something : )

Im obviously really late to the conversation but ill still throw in my experience with the static. I have also seen it as long as I can remember, but what I'm experiencing is also like what Ive read from you guys, yet different too. I see the dots and its way more obvious in low lighting, but when i look at people it sometimes collects around them, including myself in a weird way... like a force field would in a video game but it never leaves two to six inches from the person. And then when they move there's the outline still there for a second and then its gone. Same way with objects only no force field but if I stare at something and close my eyes still see it. Like a shadow or something. Oh should also add that i have 20/15 vision and can't control crap when it comes to this static. I am also 18 and it hasn't lightened up a bit.
But it does not annoy me because it seems to disappear when Im not looking in the day time at night though its always there. Ive gotten the crazy vivid long epic dream thing too my whole life and some have had parts come true although I'm not sure that is tied to this static. I've also noticed ( Understand that Im a Jesus freak cause he's changed my life in so many ways) that when the holy spirit starts moving ( and you feel this kind of thing after doing acts 2:38 and meaning it) the static flares up like crazy and I get the goose bumbs and can feel the spirits power in my hands, not that I can use him but I can feel him. Before noticing this would of never connected the two, but know that they are connected. I mainly see blue BTW not sure if that's relevant, and the only time ive ever seen any other color it was red and it was a particularly terrifying demonic experience.. the likes of which I hope to never again experience.
I've also seen the blue collect both on myself in the mirror and on others who were believers in that halo like thing you see in catholic paintings but thats white, and when its normally on people its just colorless or grayish and i would guess thats the human spirit. But think that its spiritual because of these things. Based on what I've gone through Blue is the Holy Spirit and Red is demonic and colorless is the human spirit. Idk what you'll think but that's just what I've noticed with static.

I see many layers. The most pronounced layer is something that looks like tiny raindrops slanting sideways. It changes whether it goes diagonally from left to right or from left to right and I haven't figured out the pattern yet.
The next layer looks like tons of tiny tiny sparks or stars twinkling. Sometimes I see little tiny explosions of blue or red, and this happens in various spots of my vision.

It all sort of looks like little tiny specks of dust floating in the air, but even tinier than that. Sometimes the particles look like they are bouncing off objects, such as my computer right now. I never noticed it until one night I was reading a book and it looked as if it was on fire.

Anyways my brother and I have the same thing, though he's not as detailed. He basically just sees the rain. We both refer to it as static though, similar to the black and white noise you would see on old TVs.

Does anyone ever have to focus their eyes differently in order to really see them? I can usually pick them out if I focus, but to really see their movement I have to focus a certain way. It's like focusing a dsl camera lense in a way, or like looking at an upclose object, but then looking farther out past that close object while still keeping the same focus as you had on the upclose object. ....I hope that makes sense to someone.

For anyone saying that these are floaters, I highly disagree. You would understand how different this "static" is from floaters if you had them.

For anyone saying that you can control the static? That's awesome. I've never been able to do that, and I've just recently been paying more attention to the static. I've heard tons of different stories; some say it's atoms, some say it's dark matter, some say it's just the blood vessels in your eyes. Hopefully some day we will be able to figure out an answer to this, or at least know whether it's good or bad and what this skill will do in terms of our life (teach us something? do harm to our body? be a new voyage into science?). We shall see!

I've have seen them all my life as well. I would like to add two things about what is being describe here.

During broad daylight if I stare at any solid object these "particles" are orderly. They appear in even rows criss crossing each other. The floor or ceiling or any flat surface it appears the same.

The second thing that is very weird and hard to describe. This happened a few times in different places that I have lived in. In the middle of the night I wake up and look around the room. The first time I thought I left the light on. Then I noticed it was not normal vision it was these billions of little light "particles" making up the objects. The other weird thing was my eyes were still closed and when I opened them it was pitch black. This also happened twice outside but it was much more surreal. I will say this, each and every time it scared the crap out of me.

One of my friends, who is Japanese, said there was a simple explanation. That Humans have this capability and it somehow involves multiple senses. I am not talking about being psychic! He went on to explain that, cough, that there is a Ninjutsu technique to train for this so called sight. I was just happy for a possible rational explanation. He could have been pulling my leg though :(

not floaters... when you look everywhere and instead of a pure color, like black, just matte black, you see black with a lot of like billions of small specks of colors.

i've read somewhere that it is due to the constant bombardment of cosmic radiation, same thing with the radio when you turn it on or the tv when you turn it on, you get static, or when you hear at night when no other sound is around, lots of sssssss zzzz static, what we see is the visual image of these static from cosmic radiation.

astronauts see this more profoundly and even feel it like streams of things through their brains. a warm feeling in the skull kinda.

  • woofenschtein

no, they are not floaters. floaters are just pieces of old capillaries that have come loose and float in the inner eye fluid (normal). they are not retinal detachment. and nobody can see individual molecules of air with the naked eye.

when i was a child, i experienced these "night pictures" as full fledged hallucinations. they have backed off quite a bit later in life, but are still present if i look up at a dark ceiling or walk around out in the pitch darkness. these are a natural process of the mind. in fact they are in part firings of neurons in the brain related to inactivity. i believe the term is "neural boredom". nerve cells do not like to be idle and will pop out signals when none are present to keep in shape. they are also highly related to the effects of sensory deprivation tanks.

    <a href="http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2009/10/hallucinations/" rel="nofollow">http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2009/10/hallu...</a>

everyone has them to a greater or lesser degree. they do not originate solely in the eye, but in the entire visual system of experience and interpretation (which is why they are different in everybody).

    and yup, they are normal.

For me it always feels like the individual dots are exploding outwards. But also, billions upon billions of them. A sea of micro black dots and explosions. Fills simple surfaces better than complex ones, so easily seen in the blue sky, flat wall, ceiling, dark, eyes closed.

Its unlike phosphenes, blobs of dark or colour from e.g. rubbing your eyes hard.
      Not eye floaters.

My honest to God theory... you know how reality isn't out there... Reality is happening in our heads and is different for all of us all the time? And the stuff we call matter is the raw medium of the universe. The mind then, with its ideas about what it will see, maps the most likely events it believes could exist onto the raw material around them. But I believe the effects of someone else's mind on matter can trump your own... Such that you couldn't will your tv out of existence because they reality of the man who delivered your tv, to the reality of the man who sold you the tv, all sustain the existence of it. And most people don't believe in this stuff, which supports the idea that this stuff is possible but doesn't happen because not enough people nowadays believe and engage. When people who believe in these phenomena come together, incredible things can sometimes happen...

. If quatum physics and neurology would stop this pointless battle with causation vs correlation and accept that the mind isn't in the head, rather the head is the quanum interface device that brings about the mind, it would allow us to explore more theories of what things like this eye phenomenon were all seeing could be.
Personally I believe it is either reisidual light that stays in the eye, light produced from/within the eye (googled, exists), or... Something to do with the life force of the universe. Some other force that is yet to be awakened in us. I wonder if we could learn to control it in some way. I wonder if it's something that would grow in power or prevalence the more people could physically do it? Has anyone tried explaining it to someone to the point that they could see it too?

Those of you that have it I would love to know more about you!

Is no one here formally a researcher?

I see them too, have concentrated on them and "pulled " in energy from around me, packing it together with my hands to make a swirling colored ball of energy. So I'm thinking it is energy. I strained, and strained, ending up bathed in sweat but could see the ball when I opened my eyes it had colored squiggles and then it kind of exploded and particles flew around and disappeared. That last only a few seconds, the seeing it part.

My son has seen them his whole life, started telling us about them when he was 2.
He was born very premature, 3 months early. So I believe his brain firmed differently. He was what the paediatrician called scatty when he was younger. He said a lot of early premmie babies brains are overworked early so they grow differently. Something about the frontal lobe. I don’t know the full technical term.
He was a child who saw ghosts too. Would see them in colour like a real person. As he got older and started pubity this disappeared, but his colours have remained and he can control them now. Changes the pictures and colours he sees, with concentrating about it. He blocks them out when he dosent want to see them.. He also sees auras around things. The mind is a powerful thing, we don’t use much of it.
I believe people seeing these colours are using a different part of their brain.
Could be part of our evolution.
I’m wondering how many of you also see ghosts or did when you were younger. How many of you can control the colours? How many of you have good intuition and insight? Could all be connected to a part of the brain you use that most of us don’t.

I've seen them since middle school, and have been trying to figure it out since. I see them in the light and dark: in the sky, as a halo around trees, people, and natural features. They make snow almost blinding. They are most easily spotted in the corners of rooms (inside), but expand from there. Their patterns are sometimes dots, others strings. I had the chance to travel abroad over the summer, and the lights took on different appearances in other countries, as well as different locations in those countries. I seem to be able to manipulate them to some degree, but not consistently. I don't know what they truly are, but am comforted not to be alone.

It is our universe. It's energy life force, space, earth, us, and so much more.. etc. collectively. I can also hear it when it's quiet. It's life's hum. Sometimes it sounds like music. We have more power than we will ever know. Accept it stop questioning what it is. And see what else you can do or see. I see Spirits, I can change the weather, interact with nature & mother earth...and somethings not of this earth. Look behind the views in yr mind. The more you learn the more you can see it to be the truth. We are the brave ones.

I see them too. I've always interpreted them as either the cells of my eyeballs (or actually just the lens and eye tissue covering my pupil) or the actual air--as if I can physically SEE all this "empty" space.
They move around a lot but I don't think I've ever controlled them.

Deepthought33 I think that only some people have this but...I think that everyone who has this has a different type of seeing it because I see mine only in the dark and sometimes if I focus enough I can see it in the morning to but I can't control them either or make letters in my head I see the million dots everywhere like on TV where it's blackandwhite dots but sometimes they leave a white line that sort of looks like something you'd see on an anime but still... Maybe when the "some" people were younger they where on a TV with the blackandwhite dots everywhere and maybe that could of left a side affect for our brains but to be honest I don't really know these are just theory's I thought of on the spot and to my own surprise I never stopped typing untill I was finished which I find quite strange but yeah like I said these are just theory's so maybe this will help you figure it out if you ever see this anyways bye bye Deepthought33

I have this too. I find it really annoying. And its NOT floaters. big difference.
for me its more prominent at night, even if I'm somewhere bright and if I look at dark things (into dark rooms)
I've heard it might be connected with headaches.

Don’t think it’s headaches. My son has had them since he was 2 he’s now 14, still has them and they are there all the time, they don’t go away. He can’t have had a constant headache for 12 yrs…..lol
Same with people saying floaters or retinal detachment. This is nothing like those and wouldn’t be a constant thing for 12 yrs. His sight is perfect, no problems with his eyes. We’ve had CT scans on his brain and nothing there either.

Yes this is normal for a small percentage of the population. I have this ability too. I've always thought of it as seeing energy or the fabric of this matrix world were in. I've also described it as being able to see air. And at night when it's dark is when I see it the most. When I look up during the day into the blue sky I can sometimes see waves of energy going across the upper atmosphere. Also I can see sometimes these tiny colored dots or tiny spheres of colored light. These dots are a single dot and I only see one at a time. Usually indigo, violet, red, and blue.

    Hi Tribe 👋🏻

So grateful I found you all! I’m 32 and I’ve been flying solo on all this since I was 4/5. For context, I’ve had nearly perfect physical and mental health my whole life (suffer from some asthma and seasonal allergies). When I was young I experienced the different colored dots and what I now think may have been Level 4 CEV perceptions at night.

Around 7 things turned very scary for me. I began sensing a lot of low energy (beings/spirits?) at night and didn’t know how to handle it. So, I forced myself to learn how to disconnect and tune this all out. I’ve always continued to see the translucent/white dots but I don’t notice them unless I consciously choose to.

I have no idea what this all is. But over the years I have developed a strong belief system around quantum physics and spiral dynamics. I’ve also studied religion and visited some Spiritualist Churches throughout the USA.

Thank you all so much for sharing your stories. You’ve given me more courage to continue on my path.

Wishing you all light and love. Namaste ✌🏻🌀✨💗

Well I am glad I found this, since I could never find anything else on the net.
Glad there are others that see this.

Here is my two cents and some other info:

I have seen these "pixels" as I call them for as long as I can remember. What it looks like to me is circular shapes with letters in them (mainly I see what looks like a backward K, but I do see other letters, I can never nail down a color since it seems to shift). I can see these now, in all objects and even when I close my eyes. I can make shapes only when I close my eyes, but it takes concentration.
These circles only move when I close my eyes and it does seem that I can somewhat control them. When I open my eyes, they do NOT move (they might vibrate? but do not move like when I close my eyes) . Like I said before, they remind me of pixels in a way. It seems that everything is make from them.

Now, I have never made anything move or happen. Do I wish I could? Sure, everyone wants a super power....

I am in my mid 40s and can remember these back to age 6. This is also around the time I started getting bad migraines, that I still have to this day (This seems to be a common trait in seeing these). I see them both when experiencing a migraine and not (basically I always see them). I am also red/green color blind.

These "pixels" have never really bothered me. The only problem they have ever caused is when I have tried to meditate. I close my eyes in a dark room and can try to clear my mind, yet I see these "pixels" in a lot more detail. Sometimes they pulse, move, flow like rivers, rotate, etc. This makes it very difficult to clear my mind.

This is the first time I've ever heard of anyone else seeing in pixels. Ive seen in pixels since I was a child too. I told someone as a child and they reacted terrified. I have cateracs, horrible vision, I can barely see the big E on vision posters. Every year I have to get a stronger prescription. I'm going blind. The MS comment terrifed me. I never considered that before. I can see in the dark. See oras. See what looks like ghosts and shaddow people sometimes. I can't be in the dark without being afraid because of it. I have 35 wiccans in my family. And slew of mental disorders as well. I am not wicca. I have seen doctors that say I do not have a mental disorder. The dots look like white, black, and red pixels. Like I'm seeing the world through a low quality tv screen. Sometimes what looks like a string of pearls will move around for a couple of seconds in dim lighting. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Someone, a doctor preferably, should gather all the common threads of this post and look into this. Over 9 years of info.

    Hey there,
I am not for sure how old this tHread is but i would like to inform all of you guys of this information. I too have seen millions (or billions its mentally impossible to count) of these pixel like dots my whole life and all of them are the colors our minds can interpret. Ever since i was a toddler, my fondest memories of fear was seeing these "shadow people" in darkness at night. It happened to me so frequently i thought it was normal until i told my father about it. My father has a brother who has MS (Multiple Sclerosis) who experienced the same encounter with shadow people and told me i might have it also but I never said anything about the pixels. Well just less than a year ago i got a brain scan and sure enough i have MS. My doctor says the slowed down process of signalling of the Neurons in my nervous system might be the cause of these pixels. But since Multiple Sclerosis is so under studied and not fully understandable yet, they are not for sure what causes it. Just letting you guys know, MS can be extremely mild or intense it all varies in the person but i would if i where you go in the near future and if you have good health insurance (if you live in America) go get your brain scanned for MS. I have a very mild form of MS but my symptoms are: seeing these "pixels" everywhere, my words will spill over each other sometimes, seeing shadow people and when i am over heated my vision gets blurry.

I looked like a fool to them explaining myself! I almost doubted myself because of iT.

I always see a lot of Colors i also Project images when i close my eyes, i always see details of a room when i trie to sleep. If i look at a person for one seconde and i look away i stil see this persons sillouet. When its dark i SEe pixels in Every color.

I knew this was rare when people were explaining me how they experienced xtc. They told me they would see everything much more colorfull and i realized that what they saw is normal for me

OMG. it is crazy. I thought I was the only one. I couldn't sleep so I googled it. Exact same experience. I could see those millions dots Since I was a child. At one point they started to change color. I remember running to my mom to tell "I managed to have a color this time. It's red." then Later I could do shapes. Now, I can create shapes around my hands and change the colors. I can do black too. It is hard to go from one color to another though on the same shape.

The only thing I would like to mention. Have you ever experienced the moment you are beyond tired and you see the dots gathering before your eyes like two hands of light closing in front of your eyes. You're still awake and you start seeing a scene taking place and then you fall asleep.
When I'm really tired I know it is going to happen. I was often scared. At one point, I was scared to fall asleep. I don't allow myself to be that tired anymore.

I know it sounds weird I'm so relieved to find other people like me.

I like to see myself as a very rational person, but I cannot deny that something very strange is happening to me and others are experiencing it too. All over the internet, people are seeing these tiny, white dots. If you haven't seen them, it is hard to accept they could exist. They are NOT floaters...they are NOT the white blobs you see when you get a bang to the head or sneeze hard - these phenomena are clearly & undeniably happening within the eye. You can 'see' them in the near-distance, and when you move your eyes, they uniformly move too.

These particles are very different. They have DEPTH. They are omnidirectional, they are clearly IN the air, not in my eyes. At first you just notice them a little, especially at nighttime. You may think you are losing your mind! They form an 'aura' around your hand, with a slight blueish tinge. Soon, if you allow it, you see them EVERYWHERE. As fanciful as it sounds, it resembles 'The Matrix'. However, it is a lot more subtle than that. Unless you focus on it, you don't even notice it. If you do focus, you may notice that all these sparkling dots are zooming around all over the place, leaving little trails of light. They are beautiful. They are vibrating also. If I look at an object, any object, it gently vibrates. I believe I am seeing energy.

I think the sparkling dots are PHOTONS, energy particles. In STRING THEORY, these particles would look like 'strings' of energy as they zoom around. The tail, or 'string' of light that
I see behind the dots, makes me believe I am seeing these photons. I believe I a simply seeing reality, they are always there but I am only just noticing them.

Whatever they are, I feel blessed to be able to see them.

I started seeing all these things after practicing meditation for 2 years. I also hear tones in my ears. Anyone else?

So I was just talking about this the other day with my mother. I am 32 years old at this point and this is something I've been seeing for as long as I can remember. Mine don't appear to move in any direction. They appear to have more of a static motion. I would always say I can see molecules lol. They're everywhere almost as though the air itself is pixelated.

    Comment Hidden ( show )
  • OwO

They always look like wallpaper for some reason, unless you move them.Okay, me and my brother talk about these things a lot, and when they are in 'static mode' (like when you see them in the light and they aren't as clear or in shapes like they are in the dark) I can't really shape them or anything, but in the dark when they are in shapes you can look at yourself or someone else and you can see that they are smaller on people. Also, when I compress them into a ball by looking at an area and pushing them/visualizing them into a ball, he can see it, and I can see when he makes stuff. Also, we have a ghost in our house that prefers to not have an actual shape, but spread around the room, when he is in your room, the dots are bigger. I don't know if the dots would appear smaller on ghosts or bigger or something in a human outline if we saw a 'normal' ghost that is shaped like a human, because I can't really tell. My bother didn't really give me a guide to how he sees ghosts, and he is the one that taught me these things, so I don't know. Someone reply to this with something.

I after many years googled this and I saw this! I know this was originally posted many years ago, but I have been seeking an explanation for so long. From as far back as I can remember I have seen millions of red dots mostly at night. They start a few and multiply. I too learned to control them but eventually grew scared of them thinking it was some sort of negative thing, and after pushing them away so much eventually disappeared altogether. I used to pray and pray it would go and eventually it did. I too like K used to dream future episodes of life. When I was 4-5 years of age I remember dreaming about my day at school, what book I'd find and the moment the head teacher would walk down the stairs etc. I was also scared of this too so by 7 pushed it as far away as possible as I didn't know what it was. I was bought up within a COE household so thought it must be something evil as it was some sort of sin to experience this.
I don't know if it's negative or positive or what it means, but reading I am not alone in this makes me feel like I am not crazy! Why red dots? My Mum told me I used to sit up in my cot playing patter cake with my dead twin. I know this all sounds crazy but it's just nice to be able to say it out loud! I'm sure I would see the dots again if I allowed myself, but do not want to play with something when I have no idea what it is!
Would love to know people's opinions on this!

Hi there! finally there are people who see the same thing I do!!! Yippie! :-) For a minute when i read the original post I thought maybe I had written it years ago and forgot I had posted it, however I cant control mine to make things with them. Ever since I can remember from at least 3 years of age I have seen the same thing, millions and millions of red dots everywhere, eyes open, closed, in the dark, in front of objects behind objects, they almost flash and are kind of glittery mainly like the pixilations on a tv screen but much smaller. I've talked to so many people, and drs about this but no one knew wtf I was talking about and no one ever had an explanation. Having woken up and realizing that this world is 99.999...% empty space and everything is an illusion I have concluded its just a part of the matrix we're able to tap into and see, its like we're living in one giant hologram that our collective consciousness makes...quantum physics stuff. I am just thrilled there are others who see this too and would be curious to know what percentage of those who see these red dots have rh- blood types. I would also be curious to know if people who see these red dots see other things such as shadow figure/ blobs when there shouldn't be shadows there or if they can still see objects in shadow form when they close their eyes like I do.
Anyway it's all very fascinating and I would like to get to know you all more!

I too am Rh. I have 35 years of Astrophysics under my belt, so I too am not a looney - lol. I've always thought, since my earliest memories of existence, everyone was like me. We're all different. I understand what you mean, but mine are not red but white dots with an occasional black dot here and there. (matter/antimatter?) It's not an eye condition, everything else normal, my entire life. I do see energy all around me, it's constant. Also when I take pictures there are usually (not always) an orb floating. I too also experience situations, different from you, but also feel its on a quantum level. It's all energy, frequency and wavelengths. I've experienced Astral Projection as a child and also experience still Street Light Interference Phenomenon. The latter freaks out all my family and friends, in which this has happened to me for about 35+ years or so. I too as well find this all very fascinating!

I believe it's a rare eye condition that some are born with., it's extremely possible that it could be. I don't believe any of us will go blind but at the same time who really knows. I see floaters as well some times when I think about them. If you wear gonna go blind it would have happen by now. Go get your eyes checked just incase so that you know for sure nothing's wrong. My eyes haven't changed at all not in the slightest and I don't believe they ever will.

Update to my comments: Cev is what it is called apparently. Also, the things I see in the sky are called blue sky sprites. Something that has to do with blood cells.

I have my own theory on why it's like this. And yes, like most people here, I see them too, and it drives me crazy. I think that it has something to do with your vision in the dark. I've noticed that these white dots actually help me see when i
There is barely any, or no light in my room. I think it's us seeing the little bit of light being amplified throught the room, or something like that. I could be wrong, I don't know, this is just how I see it as.

I see them everywhere I look. I have to shine a cat laser at my hand to show other people what I see in everything else. You should watch Mindwalk, that might help to explain things a little bit.

    Ok...

-If everything you see looks like tv static you see Visual-Snow. (don't fall for the hype)

-If you see floating dots or long tangled strands you are seeing Vitreous Floaters.

-If you see bright random squiggly sperm-like dots against bright surfaces or a clear blue sky, this is called Blue Field Entoptic Phenomena and can be seen by everyone in certain conditions.

-If you see negative or positive after images or tracers behind moving objects it is called Palinopsia.

-Halos around light sources are caused ny Higher Order Aberrations of the eye.

Collectively these visuals are known as Hallucinogen Persisting Perceptual Disorder... if you have never tried hallucinogens then, congratulations, you are more perceptive than a vast majority of the population and are aware of things normally filtered from conscious perception by the subconscious mind.

You can learn to use it or you can go all hypochondriac about it.

    Good luck.

I see thousands of multicolored dots, bigger than TV static, and they seem more solid in dim light and darkness (eyes open).

I too had these teeny tiny millions and millions of white bright lights vision (mine were all of same colour) and all moving around fast and furiously, other-wise known as ETHEREAL LIGHTS, I too thought the same as most of you: they are not floaters though, I’ve had them too, it’s a different kind of animal altogether, they were not the dizzy spell spots either, yes I’ve had them too when feeling dizzy, it’s in the vision of seers, others around don't see same vision.

Recently, only thing I have done new and out of the ordinary is, I created energy in my body by practicing TAI CHI, for health reasons, QI (pronounced “chi”) it’s the life force energy in human body, which travels along pathways in our bodies called MERIDIANS. I cannot think why else we see these lights, therefore, I am pretty satisfied CHI energy is the reason for these beautiful lights, unless someone can give us all and assure us other definitive reasons for seeing the super bright lights. I saw them today while looking into a clear blue sky, didn’t understand fully till I read all your comments. After just 5 minutes of practicing Tai Chi today, I felt warm and energized, blood circulating and a tingling throughout my body, nearest description of Acupuncture therapy, only cost free.
I understand every one of you and your anxieties, I am well-read so can suggest do lots of research on TAI CHI and how CHI relates to life energy force, I don’t know if there’s anything to be afraid of with your tiny million lights, however, if you have concerns with headaches or eyes otherwise, please seek immediate advice from a medical doctor. Praying is another reason for the ethereal lights, if neither is your area of interest then you are obviously doing some good in your life for the benefit of your health and your CHI, which may be the reason for seeing these bright lights.

I don't mind if anyone wants to prove me wrong, I'd love to know what else could be causing this spectacular vision.

I know that I am exceptionally late, but I also see the dots. I cannot control them, but I've noticed that the dots change depending on what I am looking at. If the surface is solid, like pavement, the dots move faster, but travels less distance, whereas if it is a humid day, there are dots moving all over the place and at a much further distance, but there will also be some that seem to be falling to the ground. It's strange, but no one else seems to see them.

Not alot of people have it its very unique and scientists don't know how to deal with it.And no visual snow is not normal and you can't cure its almost like cancer (but not deadly) we don't know how to get rid of it (yet) and to be honest knowing that theres something unknown going on within me kind of scares me a little but i'll have to be honest it makes me feel kind of special too.

Sorry for being late. These are In fact floaters. First we need to understand the eye. Floaters occur due to some of the gel in the eye clumping together, causing the a shadow on your retina. It is important to note that these clump together in such a way that is un noticeable. Everyone has floaters to some extent, only 70% of the people actually see them, which happens to be roughly the amount of people that say this is normal. Think of it like this, you have a bunch of 1's floating in your eye when they collide they make 2's when 2's collide you get 4's. what many of you are simply seeing is 512's floating in your eye so its just big enough to cause a shadow on your retina. Or think of them as 1000 mirco-floaters.

Seeing the dots is nothing to be scared of. Not all people can see them. I have been able to see the dots all of my life as far back as I can remember.
We have a special grace with God that gives us the gift to see the dots.

Lie back on a cloudless day and let your eyes rest on a deep blue sky. As you relax and stare at the sky, you should begin to see faint dots of light moving quickly around. It may take ten or fifteen seconds before you begin to see the dots. Or they may look like tiny flashes of light.

However they appear to you, those tiny dots are really blood cells moving in the retina of your eye.

    What’s Going On?

At the back of the eye in the part called the retina, are the photoreceptor cells that detect light and send signals through the nerves to the brain.

In the eyes of invertebrates, like insects, snails, and spiders, the nerves go straight from the back of the eye to the brain.

In the eyes of vertebrates, such as mammals, birds, and reptiles, the path that the nerves take from the photoreceptors to the brain begins at the surface of the retina in front of the photoreceptors.

Those nerves then come together to form the optic nerve, passing through the retina on their way to the brain.

Hi if the scarring behind your eyes caused you to see them your really lucky you found out what causes yours but I had my eyes throughly checked and they looked at the back of my eyes and everywhere and found nothing no problem in fact my eyes got better than the lasted time they checked so I'm not sure in my case it would be my eyes themselves but maybe it's something in my head idk just a thought

It doesn't sound like floaters (which I notice too sometimes) but rather like retinal detachment.
    Here's that part from Wikipedia:

"in a process known as retinal detachment. This will often leak blood into the vitreous, which is seen by the patient as a sudden appearance of numerous small dots, moving across the whole field of vision. Retinal detachment requires immediate medical attention, as it can easily cause blindness"

    • deepthought33

I've always been able to see them. If my retina had detached I would surely have been in some big trouble by now.
I've noticed that they are so much more obvious and brighter when you you look up into a blue sky.

My eye doctor checked me out VERY carefully (I had about every test he could think of) and said my eyes all clear. Not a floater, or scratch of any kind in sight. He said my eyes, themselves, are perfect. You can't see what I see and I can't tell you what you have, but I positively do NOT have floaters.

It IS something else. They said it could have to do with my migraine headaches. I see them ALL the time, and I have a 24/7/365 migraine. Just like some people get blurry vision, or see things distortedly with bad migraines, that this can cause the dots, too.

Agree with you. It’s definitely not floaters. Nothing like them.
My son can change the colours he sees, he concentrates and makes patterns with different colours, when he was younger he hated them because he would see them during the day and night now he is older he can tune them out or concentrate and move them around. He says some colours are harder to see than others.

DannyKanes is right. You're eyes from figures from reflecting light. Now I'm not too sure about the moisture one b.c i don't have this problem; and controlling them is probably just b.c you're very focused on the light when you move your eye and it trails behind the dot.
