would you keep your boyfriend/girlfriend after high school?

High school is over and you're both planning to go to university. Regardless of what your boyfriend/girlfriend wants, would you want to stay with them?
Would you plan your university applications together, so that you could go to the same university or ones that are close to each other? Would you try to maintain a long-distance relationship?

(Even if you're not in a relationship at the moment, if you have an opinion please do vote)

  • I guess that depends on what kind of relationship you have. Just don't sacrifice too much. The more I think about it the more I believe someone should focus on themselves when they're younger and not have any serious relationships.

it was my freshman year of high school, his sophomore year. i'd known him since i was six, he lived right down the street. it's been seven years since we started dating and i'm set to graduate from college this year, and he's been working nights at a decent job for the past four years. it's been rough but if it's meant to be, things will work out. it's always nice having someone who's been with you through all of your changes and life decisions right by your side. maybe it won't work out. that doesn't mean you can't try

Well, if we are still together by the time high school ends, we're most likely going to go colleges that are close to each other since we both have families that do not want us to go to colleges that are far away.

However, if we were given the opportunity to go to a far away college and took that chance, we would still try to keep in contact with each other. We'd have a long distance relationship.

Personally, my boyfriend and I try our best to focus on our education (especially since our families tend to always get us to do our best in school, mostly cause they immigrated from Asia). We both understand that we can't always spend time together due to the fact that we need to study and other things. Yes, we may be bothered by it, but we both just want the best for each other.

Although, I have to admit, I really hope that we'd go to the same college or colleges that are close to each other. .///."

    1. If you totally love each other, then you should stay together.

    2. Long distance relationships where you see each other less than a weekend a month are HIGHLY unlikely to work.

    Good luck!
