A friend still kisses her 14 year-old grandson on the lips

An old friend of mine is raising her adopted daughter's son as her own. I've witnessed them being overtly affectionate and it bothers me. She tells him she loves him very frequently, and she kisses him on the lips. When they sit, they sit together and often put their legs on top of each other's as a couple might. It makes me very uncomfortable, and I'm concerned about what might be going on when they're alone in the home. Is this behavior normal, or a sign of something that I should alert the authorities about? They're not related by blood, but he is underage.

    Your mind is automatically going to a dark place. Kissing him on the lips is only kind of weird but not really. The leg thing isnt weird at all. The fact that you would consider reporting that to the police makes me question your sanity almost lol.

    That’s weird. My granddaughter wanted to kiss me on the lips when she was about 2,but I stopped it after that. You have to set limits when they’re young.

      Hmmm... they do seem to talk rather intimately sometimes. Other times she is every bit the dominating mother-figure. Hard to say.. but an excellent observation.

              So it's ok for older adults to take advantage of the young, innocent, and vulnerable? What if it was a much older man with a 14 year-old girl? Would that be ok with you too? What if that 14 year-old girl was you, or your child? Maybe you don't give a crap, but I think most healthy adults would have a problem with it. I know I do, and I'm a pretty healthy adult. Never took advantage of a much younger woman, despite having many opportunities. Maybe you just have no moral boundaries.
