About how many pants/jeans do you own?

It dawned on me recently that I own very few pants, well...very little clothing really in general. Well that is... At least I think so? It got me thinking... WHAT IS THE NORMAL amount of pants to have?

So here we are... Tell us, about how many pants do you own?

3 or less pants 7
4-7 pants 20
8-10 pants 4
11-14 pants 3
15-20 pants 5
21-30 pants 2
Over 30 pants 2

As a black man trying to make it in this world, I own pants.

I have 2 pairs of jeans, but I also have a pair of shorts, and some yoga pants to work out in. So I count those too.

I don't have that many clothes. A simple and organised wardrobe makes life so much easier.

Unfortunately I have not figured out the modern washer dryer process. It ruins many of my clothes.

But pants i have many pairs that I don't like or that don't fit. Like drawers full, I can't give enough away. I usually have 2 or 3 pairs that I wear on a regular basis.

I do. The low heat setting is still too high on my dryer it still happens. And no heat leaves them wet. So I gotta try and heat on low til they're warm then go to no heat.

The only way I've found to reliably dry clothes without ruining them is by letting them air dry. No matter what settings you use, the dryer will ruin most of your clothes eventually.

I dry my stuff outside on the line, and if it rains it goes on the clothes airer in the laundry room. If you're in a cold, damp part of the world then you usually need to get some air movement, and maybe some heat - space heater, fan etc.

Fashion retailers want you to believe that a big wardrobe is necessary to ensure you spend as much money as possible with them, but the reality is that those with big wardrobes only really wear a fraction of them.

When it comes to clothes chose quality over quantity, make sure they fit properly and can be paired with at least a good chunk of your other clothes. You will save a lot of space and money.

I agree. I dont understand why people have brand loyalty just for the brand rather than the quality. I've had the same leather boots for the past 4 years. It's been great. Best 200$ I've spent.

I’ve got a 4 year-old pair of everyday boots too, they probably turn 5 soon. I occasionally get ridiculed for how similar most of my outfits are but I know what I like and they can buy me new clothes if it bothers them so much. A few years ago I was at a bar and an acquaintance told me “I like you [Skulls], you’re wearing the same shoes and jacket every time I see you.”

It's stupid to get ridiculed over simplistic attire choices. Expression based on vanity is so shallow.

Do pajama pants count in this counting of pants?

I counted them. Since I can go into public with them on.

I mean, so can I. I just dont. I counted jeans, workout shorts, and regular shorts. Anything I wear outside that has fabric covering my legs individually

    • Good question, I'd like to think they should be counted if you wear them out
