Afraid of god

What I could never understand is that if there is a god, then it would know your thoughts anyway. So it would know exactly how false your belief is. At least an atheist is honest with themselves, and a god would know this. Any god that forgives someone for pretending to believe in them 'just in case' and punishes another for honestly not believing in them isn't worth believing in anyway.

Now seriously, do you really believe that's going to happen after you die after you give up your religion?
I feel so bad for people who are afraid to live their lives because of the religion they were raised with since they were children..
It's probably hard to give up because you've been religious for probably your whole life, but try to use your intelligence and think really hard what is real and what is fiction.

Fear is normal... and you can't be an atheist if you don't risk your skin to the fact that no god can punish you... I suggest you just to follow a good moral code based only on what you don't like others to do to you... after that... you won't be commiting any fucking sin... respect and live it! honestly speaking... all of those who need the church so badly, are just a bunch of high sinners even more afraid of god than you are :1

I have heard that that is quite normal. Even people who have been true atheists for years still experience guilt and fear of god and hell because of their religious indoctrination.

Well, it's better to believe there's a God then find out there isn't, than the other way around, right? That's just what I think though, don't mean to bash anyone who thinks differently

It's totally normal, this it their goal. SCARE you into believing that you'll go to hell if you don't believe. I found the most disturbing comic at work today that someone left as a tip that was basically a christian man being like "DOESNT MATTER IF YOUR A GOOD PERSON, IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN CHRIST YOUR ALREADY A CHILD OF SATAN BLAHBLAHBLAH" and had a threat at the end of it saying "reader: if you do nothing you will remain a condemned child of satan"
...that is literally what it said.
Don't let a religion control you because you are afraid. You have nothing to fear, if you choose a religion it should be because it brings you peace!

Hey im a Chistian but i still havent read the whole bible and actually dont intend to i belive in evolution and science i cant deny something that i can see/touch i still belive in God and Jesus but i live my life how i want it...
