Always worried about home invasions

I use to live out in the country and back then I sold pills out of my house. Police response time to my old house was about 45 minutes in the middle of the night as we were on the edge of the county down some long back road. A friend of mine who sold back then had someone knock on his door claiming his car broke down asked to use his phone. Then 4 armed men came in and tied him and his girlfriend to a chair and punched him in the face and stole all his guns, money, and weed. I was always worried this would happen to me to the point where I put video cameras out by the doors and I'd have a tv playing the live feed while I slept. I expected someone to eventually try it because my house was the perfect spot to rob.

Now I have moved, I no longer sell drugs or do anything of that nature. But I still always worry that someone is gonna break in. Its like ingrained into my soul at this point. I carry a gun everywhere and I sleep with one by my bed. Im always worried someone is gonna break in even though I am not really a target anymore.
