Am i being unreasonable?
Let's get to the point: I was among a few friends, and many people I didn't know very well. We got on to the topic of mental health when a friend confessed to self harming. I explained to her that things will get better and mentioned how the voices in my head sometimes tell me to claw my own face.
We then had a massive argument on whether scratching is a form of self harm or not. When it came in to a minor wrestling match, she said she was glad my step brother was murdered because he would "turn out all nutty like you".
I wasn't very phased, but then calmly mentioned how she makes such a massive scene whenever someone even mentions her dead father; therefore shouldn't mock my dead step brother.
She wouldn't stop, and then said she wished that the horse which attacked me as a child should have killed me.
So, I snapped. I...said some things, and left her with a couple of scars, a missing tooth and a traumatic experience. Had my best friend not pulled me off her and gave me a good smack across the ears (she knows well how to deal with me) I would've probably not stopped strangling her.
Now, who was unreasonable here?
