Am i disloyal to my mom?

After my mom passed, rather quickly, from cancer, her husband---my "step dad" (call him "Thomas") said he thought our side of the family should have the home because it had been my mom's, so he got another place.

A long time later, almost 6 months, I was shopping and we ran into each other.

Well, one thing led to another, and, to make a long story short, we had sex.

I'd like to have a regular relationship.
Am I being disloyal to my mom?
Be honest with what you think

You should have left him alone. 28
You should enjoy him all you can. 3
It's OK so long as it is true love. 5

Yeah, that's pretty gross, and unnatural. I can't respect people who act like this.

    • He and my mom were married when I was 12. He was a completely faithful husband. I k new him and grew to love him for his fine qualities long before looked at him in any other way. Doesn't it make sense when you love a man for who he really is?

That's disrespectful to a lady to ask for age, especially RoseIsabella.

And sometimes you have to be brave enough to admit that your actions were wrong. If you came here to ask the question it's most certainly because you know that this is not right.

You're doing yourself no good not looking at the situation as it is.

It's true that you do not decide who you are attracted too. Neither do I but I don't act upon every attraction.

You'll regret doing this. It's not a curse, I'm not wishing you bad but this is what will certainly happens.

Blood or not, it’s family. And you don’t fuck with your family

I think you were groomed. That or he was already attracted to you when you were little but didn’t act on it because he was married to your mom. Imagine a grown man having lust for a 12 year old little girl

You probably have already done this, but you should ask yourself what you would think if you had a daughter who did this after your death.

  • In the Bible men would married their dead brother's wife.
In real life people who are together might have known their partner when that one's spouse was alive.

  • I was asked if Thomas messed with me when I was under age,
    I said no.
I also said mom married him when I was 12.
    Also true.

And you a crappy person because you had sex with someone who loved your mom.

It's all the levels of fucked up.

I'm not sure disloyal actually covers it, it doesn't seem right or proper for you to be tooting on the same pipe as your mum.

    Possibly, but not necessarily.

It really depends on the relationship and understanding you had with your mom; and of your mom's relationship with your dad (and what understandings they had about many things).

Think it through... You may want to talk to your step father as well on this issue. Then decide what is right based on that. None of us really know your family and social history.

Morally, I see no issue with a step "relative" and you.

I'm comfortable with whatever you decide.

I wish you the best with this.

  • No. "Thomas" is not that sort of man. Don't concern yourself with that.
He is very masculine and attractive. It was NOT just some idea of his. I am past 18 and I made my own decision.
