Am i too attached to this part of my life?
I’ll probably look like a weirdo for being so fixated on a period of my life from a full decade ago, but I just wanna get this off my chest. What got me thinking about this again was that I just started watching Ant man and the Wasp on Netflix, and this is a REALLY minor nitpick but I felt the way that the government guy was talking to the main character’s daughter was really condescending, and they played it off as her being confused by big words, but I feel like a kid that old would probably understand that though.
I know that sounds stupid, but I remember being a tween vividly and always hating how people thought of kids my age like we still had the mentality of toddlers when I had some very dirty thoughts at that age. The example I gave is just one of many, and I guess it doesn’t matter, but imagine if not only were you stereotyped a lot, but literally no one in the entire world took you seriously for being offended. I guess I was like an SJW for kids before SJWs were really a thing.
I mean, I’m 20 now, I should really probably be over this, but I guess I just wanted to get my thoughts out there and see if anyone else ever felt similarly.
