Was stopped at a railroad crossing because I train was passing. I was surprised and excited to see that this train that past must have been 1 mile long and carrying nothing but tanks. There must have been at least 100 tanks being transported on this train. It gave me a massive freedom boner.

I don't believe this, are you sure you weren't in Russia? America spends trillions of dollars on the millitary. I doubt they are using antiquated transportaion to move antiquated hardware.
How else do you think tanks are transported efficiently? They are known gas guzzlers.
The closest thing I saw was on a highway, it was a discretely armored semi that was probably carrying nuclear materials.
