Analyzationing everything

Do you analyze everything that has to do with your kids? Like you think about how to deal with certain behaviors by assuming those behaviors could create a snowball effect that effects them later in life. For example not letting them squish bugs. Its not that its a moral issue but maybe its good to teach at an early age to be empathetic maybe they could eventually retire to killing cats. Also when they wont stop misbehaving I start picking my battles because I feel if I scold them 24/7 then they could develope confidence issues from always being in trouble. Something I think happened with me.

I over analyze stuff but I feel I can look back at my personal life and also other people and point to things that created a snowball effect that made me who I am today.

I suggest you read a good book on personalities....

May I suggest: "Positive Personality Profiles" by Robert Rohm.

Then I suggest a truly dynamite book: Personality isn't permanent" by Benjamin Hardy.

I wish you well with this,
