I know, claiming that McDonalds is disgusting in a forum full of Americans is like going down to a trailer park with a megaphone and yelling "Wal Mart sucks"
But seriously.
When I set a cheeseburger out on a picnic table, not even flies would go near it.
And they eat sh*t.
Anybody else find McDonalds disgusting?
I do find McDonalds disgusting and I hate their advertising campaigns (which I find to be very misleading). The way their burgers taste, you just no it's not natural. There's no way for a normal burger to taste like that. And the fries are like pure grease and salt.
Wal-mart sucks too. I hate how they brag about having the lowest prices when their stuff is only a few cents less.
i used to like mcdonalds, but now i dont go in. their foods like plastic and stinks. when the writing at the top says "100%% british beef from cows, milk from cows, 100%% potato in our fries" it jus freaks me out haha
okay lets see .. Mcdonald's haven't tasted good since the 90s .. I dont' knwo what the hell they did .. but .. it tastes like shit .. and it's probably wherei live .. because when i was in texas i liked it .. haha .. anyway .. but the burgers are smaler because it already reaches 500 calories before you finish it .. and the fries .. that brings more in .. and then the drink . you have eatne about 1000 to 1500 calories depending on what you ate .. now see .. some people got addicted to it and i think somehow they just made it smaller and to the point (special) but they're still a piece of shit ..
You know what i really love? Burger king .. the meat is GRILLED .. there's not much fat . theyre bigger .. the fries are good and crispy .. i never have a problem with them messing up or tasting bad .. it all tastes good .. :)
McDonalds is shit, artificial crap food. I tried their "Mocha Frappe" the other day ... it was noxiously sweet. If I wanted a chocolate milkshake, I would have ordered one. It was probably 50%% high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). All you needed was ice, coffee, chocolate and blend it up. I should have went with Starbucks.
I bet you they put HFCS in their hamburgers too. The meat is spongy and has an unnatural texture. Why do people eat so damned much HFCS?

When I go on trips with my academic team, we have to go there sometimes. I really can't stand it. It is disgusting. But when I go on trips with the team, I really have no other option, so I just eat one of theose repulsive grilled chicken snack wraps. I get sick from eating it sometimes, though, and I would much rather go to Subway, where I can at least get a good vegetable.

I remember years ago when they first brought it to the UK... Seeing that freaky clown character with the horrible red wig on the adverts was enough to put me right off! I am not usually scared of clowns, but that one freaked me out completely! Where I live there is no McDonalds or any of those sorts of places anyway, but I did try it once in Ireland. The bread was sort of sweet... more like cake! The burger inside was rather grey and I couldn't eat it as they had put all the garbage on it that I asked them not to put on it, so it just went in the nearest bin! I wouldn't have been surprised if the bin had spat it out to be honest.
I used to work at McDonald's. I couldn't stand the food before, and now knowing how its prepared, it's even worse. I don't understand how people can stomach the smell of the restaurant, let alone the taste of the food.
I'm not sure really if its the smell that gets to me, or the fact that I tie the smell to the overly abusive prick that ran the store (former boss).
I work at KFC/Taco Bell and I love the way it smells. I'm constantly eating at work. Must be McDonald's.
Everything at McDonald's is freezer to fryer, or freezer to grill. Hope that helps.

Hey, at a Wendy's in my town, the Health Department or whoever they may be, gave my Wendy's a 'D' rating..which is quite sad considering they are very lenient on cleanliness of the restaurants they grade. Pretty sad, how they BARELY passed. Let's just say I never eat there; you never know what could be in those burgers lol.
they say if you love law or sausages don't watch either of them being made and the same is probably true for burgers.
a couple of weeks ago we all saw how american law was made vis-a-vis the bailout package and it was NOT pretty. I'd have liked to put a stamp of condemnation on that process or at least given it as low a mark as the wendys in your town got.

McDonald's is absolutely disgusting, I agree. The only thing worth eating is their ice cream, and their drinks aren't even that good compared to a place like Sonic.
Wal-Mart, on the other hand, is amazing. I find it hilarious how many people go to grocery store chains designated to one area of the country that call themselves "hometown markets" or some shit like that and think that they are getting better quality stuff than what you can get at Wal-Mart. I worked in one of those "quality hometown market" chains and not only do they not have the selection Wal-Mart has, but their products are actually usually of either lower or equal quality. Actually, most Great Value and Sam's Club brand items are the same stuff as a lot of the name brand equivalents, they just change out the packaging in the factory sometime during the processing. Wal-Mart's chicken, pizzas, and deli foods taste 100% better than any smaller chain's foods that I've tried. The shit in the smaller chains' delis and salad bars is absolutely disgusting and the conditions are unsanitary. It's surprising how many people think that they are getting fresh food from those places because they are smaller and they are actually getting the cheapest shit we could pull off the store's shelves that is usually several days old and we are told to keep serving it well past its prime. I actually threw out several rotten fruits and vegetables that were complete mush and not salvageable at all against my managers' wills because I refused to serve that shit if I wouldn't eat it, myself.
I honestly noticed about a year or so ago that suddenly McDonald's French fries were different and not very good. Not just one restaurant... all of them. I used to LOVE McDonald's fries! They were my "go to"
Granted, my waistline is better without them but ya know how sometimes it's just what you're in the mood for? Not anymore. I can't be the only one who has noticed the change. Actually everything on their menu is kinda gross now!

The only thing that gives the "burgers" taste is the ungodly amount of sauce! The burger, lettuce and rest is just decoration! A waste of meat because if you scrape the sauce of it tastes rubbery! IT SUCKS DONKEY BALLS!!!

In fact they "love" it so much they got hungry for it when watching a documentary about the life of non-biological chickens! Although I am very much for the usage of biological food! I still crave their french fries but haven't eaten or wanted to eat at a McD's for over 3 years. Just got fed up with the taste one day and never went back. Now the smell is revolting whenever I drive or walk by one.

They are gross, i cant even look at the actualy meat. But i still eat it anyway because they're cheap. But if you buy things not from mcdonalds and make it yourself, make sure to put garlic in it because it will be better!
I wouldn't say McDonalds is great. But for some reason, I usually crave it every few weeks. O.o the only thing I ever get is a big mac or chicken nuggets. Ha, I'm surprised I'm not overweight! Maybe they put some kind of addictive drug in their food.

McDonald's is a great place. Their burgers are made from 100% American beef. They keep their menu fresh with new items all the time. You are not normal.
I used to work at McDonalds and have never seen anything wrong with the way its prepared. I still eat it at least once a week. There are not any other french fries in the world that taste as good as theirs. I can do without the burgers but I dont dislike them. I basically just crave the fries though.

As you know McDonald's serves fast food at an inexpensive price. It is a perfect place to go for a quick bite to eat without breaking the bank. They even have a drive-thru. You get what you pay for. If you want better tasting and higher quality food then it will cost you more money and you will have to wait longer for it. If you don't like the food at McDonald's, then my suggestion would be to go to a non-fast food restaurant or prepare your own meals if you know how to cook and have the time to do it.
Much more disgusting is the implication that all Americans sit around eating McDonald's all the time. Tally ho, old bean, why don't you go eat a crumpet and buy a tea cozy for the Queen Mum? Sheesh.

As a kid I loved it not I hated it. It represents a lot of bad things to me. It's a healthy disgust I think and I don't even let my friends eat it.
When I was ten years old, I ate three big macs each time I went there, which was probably a few times a week. Often, I could only eat two and half. This was after my relationship with KFC. After that, it was pizza, then subway. I always asked for ten times the normal amount of mayonnaise when I had KFC and a ton of chipotle sauce (a bit mayo-like) every time I ate a sub. Perhaps twenty or thirty years from now, I'll be having heart attacks and strokes from every direction and suffer from lots of brain damage instead of being an influential scientist. The idea has already been shattered anyway, but I'm sure my horrible childhood eating made the chances even more scarce.
LMAO!! i have to admit i love mcdonalds and fast food, but i hardly eat it cause its unhealthy for you and will make you fat. be smart and eat healthy. you are what you eat- as the saying goes. just look at the guy from SUPERSIZE ME. he made an expirament on himself, ate only mcdonalds three times a day every day, and he felt horrible, he was puking and shit, his cholesterol was way up, he put on lots of weight and he was just in awful state.the doctor warned him he had to stop or else there would be permanent damage.

Fast food burgers aren't really even hamburgers, they're in a class of their own, a different kind of sandwich altogether.
To answer the question, I find it very nice and greasy when I'm very hungry, but a lot of the time it's disgusting and garbage-like.

Part of it may have to do with the fact that I'm a pretty healthy eater, but even the smell of McDonald's is enough to make my stomach queasy. Even their healthier fare is still unappetizing (their grilled chicken tastes like rubber) and is cooked around a sticky, grease-laden environment.
I like the taste but I try not to think about whats in my food. Dont wanna know. I like the southern chicken sandwich and the fries are the best. I did get food poisoning from the fish sandwich one time.
I once saw a video of a meat crusher crushing an animal, including the head and insides, and since then i havent wanted to eatn a burger

McDonald's isn't that bad and the food is certainly not repulsive. Admittedly, I liked it more in my younger years, but it is certainly not disgusting; however, if you do think it is disgusting, it is no more disgusting than any other fast food restaurant.

Ok I must say I love Mcdonalds and I have since I was a little kid and I don't care if that makes me a "typical" American. I love my country and it doesn't bother me a bit to be called an American. You can bash a person all you want but if you bash them for their native land then that kind of makes you an idiot because nobody can help where they were born, HELLO!!!
Just thought I might add that Europeans do that a lot so you guys really really need to learn how to get along with your own people before you start blaming America for the world's problems.

Anyway I love the fries!!! I love the Milkshakes!!! and I love the hotcakes <3 and the burgers are ok but Burger king's fries are so discusting.

McDonald's is gross, I love a good burger, McDonald's is not a good burger. Might have something to do with the fact the first time I had fast food was when I was 15, my parents are health nuts.
This is an interesting topic and I'm 50/50 on it.
For starters I am now vegetarian and coeliac, so I don't eat burgers, but I used to eat them as a child, back when it still came in white paper bags and foam cups, so it's hard to hate something that you grew up with have some sort of sentimental feelings about, but I think that's their plan to suck you in as a kid and get you hooked for life.
I don't think Mcdonalds is an ethical company, destroying forests to graze their cattle, killing god knows how many cows, selling foods full of sugar, preservatives, artificial colours and flavours and trans fats, and aiming them at children with their 'crappy meals'.
Not to mention that here in Australia at least, the burger patties are grey and dripping in fat, and it's gross to think that the burgers are made from bits of lots of different cows all mushed together.
Having said that, if I was physically and morally able to live on their food then I probably would. It's a whole lot cheaper and more convenient than healthy food.

I find Mcdonalds repulsive. Yuck. Not even their ice cream is ok. I mean you're right not even flies will touch the sh*t because it has so many growth hormones in it and preservatives. I do notice one thing that now at days there aren't many flies around our picnic tables. Its because of franken foods basically. Read about it online and you will find tons of articles and probably go organic like me if you do.
The only thing that makes me feel sich about McDonalds is the fat. A girl needs to stay in shape but other than that McDs is good. I just hate it when people get obsessed with burgers as if they benefit you in life
McDonalds IS nasty. I'm in my late 20's and I remember back in the 90's and late 80's there food was SO MUCH BETTER. A Big Mac was truely a Big Mac back then, but the other posters are right. They have slipped so much from there peak back then as far as food quality goes, its no wonder a lot of folks don't go there anymore. I'd rather go to Wendy's, Hardees, Burger King, Taco Bell, Quiznos, etc. any day. The only thing I really like from McDonalds is there milkshakes but thats it.

Food today mostly are mass produced industrial products. Bakers and chefs have been replaced by chemists and marketing people.
I remember in grade school the buzzword then was AUTOMATION. Recalling a film we saw of food being manufactured - cakes were being made mechanically.
First they got extruded from a large cylindrical tube. Then they went along a conveyor belt and got sliced, shaped, pressed together then finally brushed with icing. Another gadget pressed a little colored icing flower on top of each one before they gently slid into a nice white box with a cellophane window....
Even at that age something didn't seem right to me!
My mother and grandma made everything from scratch in the kitchen. THAT'S REAL FOOD!

I like their food alright, but it isn't super special. As such, I rarely go there to eat. Their food does tend to taste more artificial than most other fast food joints, imo.
To be honest, the taste, to me, isn't that bad. If I was in the mood for it (and had money lol), I'd probably go every once in awhile. For me, it just tastes nasty after you repeatedly eat the stuff. So I typically just eat it in stride, maybe once or twice a month is good enough for me.
