Anyone here who has pcos?

I have PCOS and I'm wondering if anyone here has it as well.

I know I have it because I have very corse dark body hair. The hair is on my stomach, chest, arms, and neck. Additionally I feel more masculine than my other female friends. Most are interested in the latest trends while I'm into video games, sports (wrestling, hockey, nascar, baseball, etc), and making others laugh. Furthermore I have a lot more pemped up energy than my fellow female friends (thanks testosterone). Speaking of testosterone, I'm more hornier than "normal" women. The amount of testosterone I have probably is the cause of my irregular cycle.

One "problem" though, I refuse to be on the pill. Like why go on a pill if it's not the right one for me?! Likewise, why would I risk a blood clot to "treat" (but can't be cured) my PCOS.

Anyone here know what I mean by and/or can relate to this?

Yep, that's me 1
Nope 3

I have pcos and this is not my experience at all. It doesn't make you "manly." You should discuss this with a gynecology expert. They can help you find a way to balance hormone levels.

And FYI, men are not hornier than women. They lack self control and are more free to speak about it.

There are several treatments available to help get your hormone levels back to normal. Talk to an endocrinologist as hormone balance and levels is their specialty.

Lol. None of the masculine things you said matter at all. Go to a doctor. There is probably nothing wrong with you.

Sorry in advance for the comment being long :|

Yup have PCOS, I have the hair and my period is all out of whack! It would only last 3-4 days with 1 "heavy"ish day and I sometimes would skip it or be late/early by a week or 2..
I was suggested to go on the pill to try and normalize my periods but ended up getting high blood pressure from them so now I have the implant in my arm and don't have periods any more (thank f***)
As for the masculinity.. Well yea I was taller and broader then most girls (and some on the guys growing up!) And by mid teen I was called a guy which I assume because of my appearance (??) I actually don't think I do look that manly tbh..
I used to follow football n cricket (Aussie here) when younger.. watched wrestling for a while..
Can't say I'm horny more then usual but the opposite..

And the last note.. you will only feel masculine if you actually WANT to be masculine..

My best friend has pcos. Look into taking projestrone to help alleviate its affects. It doesnt affect your interests. Hormones don't do that trust me I know. The hair n junk though it will. Ask your doc if projestrone is right for you. I gave her mine and it made her life so much better
