Linux. Once you get through the rather steep learning curve it's cool.

Steep learning curve? There is no steep learning curve unless you go for one of those command-line focused distros, i.e. Arch. Ubuntu and Linux Mint are mostly GUI and are really easy to use. But Ubuntu sucks lately, it's just so buggy and incomplete.

As a traveler to your time I can tell you all 3 of these companies will be all but forgotten by the year 2100 AD.

Linux is not owned or developed by a single company or entity.

I've always agreed with the ideals behind open source software, so my answer is Linux. However, I use Windows on my desktop and I have a Mac laptop running OSX. Compatibility and convenience...

I have been loyal to Windows since Windows 98, and used Windows since 1999. But post 2012 this loyalty of mine has faded and I am all for Apple. windows 7 was the last one I liked...

Is the selection better for homoerotic videos? Isn't that why you stuck with Windows, because you didn't want to lose your TB of gay porn?

    Linux all the way.

    Kubuntu is my fav.

If I ever need Windows for anything I have Windows 7 install on VirtualBox inside my Linux computer.

    Kubuntu 16.04 Rocks!

For the most part, my go-to's are Windows and Linux (But if it comes to shove that if all my favorite games and utilities are available on Linux I would have ditched Windows by now as well). I have tried OS X, but like iOS, it feels way too "sterilized" for my tastes.

I'm a gamer, so I'll most likely always (have to) stick to Windows for that but I'll probably get into Linux in the future since it does have many advantages over Windows.

I've never really used MacOS and I have nothing to say about it. I might check it out eventually, or not. I don't know :P

I am planning to have all 3 in one room.
Windows - Gaming, multimedia, causal web browsing, etc
Linux - Anything that I'd like to keep private - this is the number one if we're talking security. Latest versions of Windows have data collection and even keyloggers! But Linux combined with a VPN and proxy, I'm untraceable. Plus, it's just really cool.
Mac OSX - Idk, Macs look pretty, and I'm sure I'll find it's advantages once I get one.

Oded here, Apple would be a solid creation and editing source. Be it pictures or video. Just a thought. Do with that what you will friend.

Apple used to be pretty good, but they've become pretty crappy since Steve Jobs died.

Being a programmer, I don't care about whether it's OS X or a Linux distro, since both are UNIX-like operating systems. Windows, though? Ugh, it is terrible to code on.

OS X is pretty and solid, and so is Linux. In fact, for daily use I'd rather choose OS X, but only on a Hackintosh because Macs are overpriced. There just aren't many good "for-daily-use" programs on Linux.

I'm sorry, but I disagree with you there - I really dislike the interface of Windows 8.x. Windows 10? Debatable. If I had to be stuck with a Windows OS, I'd still pick Windows 7. Otherwise, Linux all the way. No frills. (but you can still add some eye candy to look like Windows, OS X, or anything in between or something completely crazy if you are inclined to do so)

Sorry, nut I loved windows 7, absolutely hated windows 8 and 8.1 but am living windows 10 which is way better than your crappy windows 8. Anyone who is still using windows 7 is nostalgic (though for me windows 2000 is nostalgic, my first OS and I still have it on my old tower computer) and that cool, anyone who is now on Windows 10 is brilliant and modern. But anyone still using windows8 is a noob and needs to get with time, its the age of windows 10 which is the worthy successor of windows 7. Crap windows Vista and windows 8! Windows 8 wanted PCs to look like smartphones, but we don't need PCs to look like smart phones, we use them for totally different purposes and the mac embedded software for smart phones are good enough. windows 8 is old now, windows 10 is modern and anyone who disagrees needs to get with time!!!
