Are american schools communist?

As a child I went to several schools as my family moved a lot. These things are the core principles I seemed to learn from a public American education system.

1# Intelligence is bad, never think for yourself
2# Rules matter even if they have no sense
3# Adults and authority is superior even when they are abusive
4# Memorize everything you can, but don't ever know anything outside your specialty
5# Use the book, not your brain
6# Everyone will move at the same pace, Since we dont want anyone to feel left out
7# If one of you cant perform, no one in the group can perform so you all fail

Many public schools have a rule that you can not graduate or finish early since everyone must graduate at the same time. Even if they already finished their other classes they will be given extra classes just to keep them in school instead of graduating early. Asking questions about anything considered unpleasant is usually punished. Since you must only learn what they tell you to learn and nothing more. They have a lot of rules that are outdated, don't make any sense, and are applied without any regard to context or reasoning behind the rule. Any attempt at making things more efficient it shot down. Use the book not your brain. Do your work according to whats in the book, not what you think. A lot of classes are graded on the class as a whole vs individual performance review of each student.

it takes the simplicity out of work, for example:

          what is easier to solve?:

          5+5 = 10
using a simple chart which shows numbers
          1 <---> 10

          or

having to count up 5 tallies, then another 5 tallies, to get 10, IIIIIIIIII, like that

common core makes kids use the longer method
and apparently kids are getting stressed, which is no surprise lol

its bullshit, and trump has said he will get rid of it :D

Censorship, radical egalitarianism, disingenuous propaganda about integrity and personal space, adherence to anti-patriotic sentiments...

Yeah, academia has a lot of communist connotations attached to it. And it is only getting worse.

        Well, good for her.

My sister and I went to School in Katy, Texas. She was supposed to graduate class of 1991, but took some night classes at a Houston Community College then graduated in 1990. I dunno if students there can still do today what she did then as it's been over 25 years.

hate common core. It pits the teachers and kids more against each other and turns learning into a scary experience. So many kids are dropping out and going to get a g.ed. i started homeschooling because more than one of my son's teachers kept making the kids feel responsible for their possible firings if the kids didn't pass another frigging test.

The schools are so bad that you hear stories of teachers or school officials encouraging kids to report their parents for using a bad word, voting the "wrong" way, if the kid thinks they make too much money, etc. It's McCarthyism, in reverse.

What I have learned is schools and colleges never give complete knowledge of a subject they chose to teach. One has to inspect things out of syllabus on search engines or in libraries.

Having never been to an American school, I can't tell you with certainty, but it certainly seems like they need to start teaching Political Science.

What you are talking about isn't "Communist". It wouldn't even be deemed Socialist in modern society. It's an oligarchic system designed to extract the most out of meager funding, while providing a basic education to the majority of students - students who otherwise would most probably remain illiterate and innumerate.

This is why Private schools are generally better - they do not have the same budgetary restrictions as public schools.

True Communism is an ideal that even Lenin and Marx realised was unobtainable in anything other than a basic agrarian society. The last leader to seriously try and implement a "communist" society was Mao, and even he failed (to the extent that rather than tell the "Great Chairman" he was a loon, the Communist Party undertook to systematically pull the wool over his eyes - examples too long to post here).

Even the great "boogyman" of the USSR during the Cold War was in fact a Marxist-Socialist regime, and they even named their union accordingly - the Union of Soviet SOCIALIST Republics.

This is exactly why we the elite 1% go to private schools. We are taught to think outside-the-box. We learn wealth preservation, and also how to manage the compliant 99% that has been taught not to think for themselves, but to think what we tell them to.

I say old chap, not on telling the peasants our secrets! I'll probably have to shoot a few now when they come to complain, just to set an example.

Oh no, don't do that. We the elite 1% in America have found that the poor masses are tolerant of their poverty if we let them own guns, and bitch all they want. Run a satellite video feed of sluts dancing and give them cheap beer. This lowers social tensions.

Ahh, I see you do things differently in the New World. Over here in the colonies we just fill them full of cheap beer, seems to work rather well.
