Are most predators narcissists?

I have this question, do most of them carry narcissistic traits if so how and why?

( P.S I am aware that I am talking about a forbidden topic but I want to know since I think some of them act like that but I don't know if the rest of you think that they are one. )

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

There are two types of pedophiles out there. Ones that are the sorry sons of bitches that were born like that and it was genetically chosen for them their sexual malpractice, or that they where abused when they are younger and are repeating the cycle anew.

The second is The omnivore's with a sick mind. They are regular people that can get off to normal porn but have taken up a forbidden intrest into the material.

Both will make moves against children. Idk of the general personality traits of them. I dont know if there is a consistent trend among them, but there probably is one or two.

People don't want to accept this but it's genetic and not necessarily linked to any particular personality at all. There are things we can say, however, about those who act on it.

This is going to creep a lot of people out, but hear me out before dismissing it: Most people are born... you know, that word, and then they grow out of it as they age. I'll explain. An 8-year-old might have attraction to an 8-year-old. A 10-year-old might have a crush on a 10-year-old, right? 12-year-olds tend to on 12-year-olds.

As kids, we usually crush on those our age, perhaps some adults, and rarely anyone _much_ younger. Even beyond sexual maturity our preferences tend to age with us, but even if we like younger people as adults, it tends to cap and not go below sexual maturity of others. This is just how the brain develops.

Well, the science behind it suggests something goes wrong in their brains genetically speaking so as that their preferences don't age with them after their first real crushes. They remain fixed there. This is why they almost always have different target age preferences.

Anyway, it's also believed that, while still rare, it's more common than thought and the vast majority just keep it to themselves their entire lives the same way most gays used to hundreds of years ago. Unlike gays who only sometimes thought it was wrong due to religion but mostly just didn't want to get in trouble, these people usually are horrified by it because, unlike gay sex, sex with children is wrong, they feel that, and don't want to act on it in a million years even if they could get away with it. They're cursed and I sincerely hope science finds a real cure (some seek meds to artificially become asexual).

Now what you're seeing with the ones we know about is that same condition coupled with some degree of psychopathy. Sexual urges alone aren't enough to force someone to even _maybe_ commit such horrible crimes. Those that act have to lack empathy quite severely or entirely.

For example, I'm a straight man, attracted only to grown women and up. However, if we lived in a hypothetical world where women were somehow unable to consent, like children are, I would just deal. I wouldn't be creeping in some bush watching a grown woman walk by, rubbing my hands together, thinking, "Enough is enough. I can't take it. Today's the day imma have to knock one of these sexy bitches out and see what they're all about."

I'd just be living my life the same way I do whenever I'm single. So in short, generally speaking there are no common personality traits amongst them, but of those who act on it, pretty much anything that's common to rapists in general.

I think you've made some sensible points here.

I especially agree with the distinction you make between someone having inapproriate sexual desires and someone actually acting on inappropriate sexual desires. They are worlds apart.

I think people really need to stop demonizing it as "the philia" itself, see that part as a disease, and demonize the acting ones as we do rapists, or even even-worse rapists if they prefer.

Most are shocked to learn science estimates 10% of people are homosexual. Most are absolutely floored to learn it estimates 5% of people have "the philia". That's one in twenty people. That's one person in every average classroom you were ever in. This is kind of a thing, a genetic thing. Absolutely shocking.

Equally shocking, 1 in 20 people are believed to be psychopaths, but most are just total pieces of shit in their personal lives while avoiding jail and won't murder. As per statistical mathematics, 20 times 20, this means 1 in 400 people is a psychopath also attracted to kids. That's bad news because sexual urges tend to be what coerce some psychopaths to risk prison.

The empathetic people with "the philia" are unlikely to seek treatment right now due to not wanting to have to confess that to even a doctor, despite desperately wanting the urges gone and suffering from suicidal thoughts when intrusive thoughts of children pop up during masturbation.

If it became normal enough that telling a doctor was the norm, a surprising amount of the psychopathic ones would also seek treatment to cure their sexual frustration due to the lack of access to opportunities to strike without certain imprisonment.

Ironically, nevermind helping the innocent ones, treating it as a disease is likely the best prevention of assaults from the psychopathic ones.

Despite knowing being bisexual could increase the number of people I could be happy with, I always felt somewhat lucky to be straight due to the social stigma that sadly still exists toward LGBT. But holy shit I can only imagine how bad it would suck to have _that_ curse all while being a good person. I'd probably consider suicide as well.

Well yeah, I think I would consider it too. It's the worst thing that you could possibly be. I would even say murdering someone would be less socially ostracizing.

It's a shame because, as you say, your sexuality can't be helped and it doesn't automatically make you evil. I am female and attracted to men, but I have never sexually assaulted a man. Most normal people get through their whole lives without sexually assaulting someone. Just because someone happens to have inappropriate desires doesn't automatically mean they are going to harm someone. Most people can control their sexual urges enough to conform to the law.

I wouldn't say narcissists, FUBAR is a better way of saying it.

Maybe it's the thrill of being in control of someone defenseless and unable to stop you... Maybe they were abused as children, so they do what their abusers did.
Maybe they are sadists that want to psychologically destroy their victims and they get off on that.

Either way, they deserve one of two things...

    One - death.
Two - experimentation, science never sleeps.

PS: Two often ends with one.

That’s an interesting question. I’d say a predator has a superiority complex, which is different from narcissism. Although a predator can be a narcissist because that feeds his superior image.

They probably have narcissistic traits. Many if not most bad people have streaks of narcissism in them even if they arent a fullblown narcissist plus there's psychopathy and sociopathy too which is worse.

Im sure some predators like rapists or molesters talk themselves into it and convince themselves they arent really hurting others. Id think some predators do have empathy. They just convince themselves something weird like "oh i looove this child"

  • I assumed predator as any sort of mental warrior, which exist in many forms (not just in MAPs)

Narcissism is just such a broad, general, and encompassing stigma for people who do bad

It's like looking at overweight people and thinking are they overweight because they're diabetic or are they diabetic because they're overweight. And then you have overweight people who are not diabetic

Narcissism and narcissistic traits are just a really good thing to look out for when interacting with people

The more intelligent narcissist use their exaggerated confidence to be good businessmen. Not every narcissist is inherently a bad person. Just that most bad people are on the narcissism spectrum.

Narcissistic isnt the worst trait to have truth be told. Just makes socialization harder for those who cant control their own emotions.
