It's called Furry. With a 'y'. It's a very stylish word, now that I look at it.

I don't exactly base myself of my character though. I see my character more of as an extension of me.

Tbh, the word 'furry' normally implies a bit more than that but for what you're saying, I guess I sort of am.
I'm really terrible at drawing people so I like to draw cartoon-ish animals a lot. Sometimes, if I want to draw how I feel, I'll make myself a generic fox or a cat. They're pretty easy to draw (imo).
