Are you afraid of furbies?

I recently bought a giant Furby to hang on display in the back of my car near the side passenger window. The problem I have is that literally 80% of my female coworkers (I'm a female too) are terrified of it!

They would refuse to get in the car with me to go out to lunch unless I took it down and put it in the trunk. Some of them are so scared of it that they wouldn't even park their car next to mines!

Are Furbies THAT scary?! I bought this Furby for $100 and now I can't even put it on display in my car without a coworker teasing me about it! It's not an electronic Furby either, just a stuffed Furby!

It's so frustrating! Are you afraid of Furbies too? (-_-)

I'm afraid of them too. 41

My sister had a lot of furbies, i don't find them creepy. If you want to see something, go to youtube and type in "Furby's Revenge"

I had one furby and it was awesome.

It was when the batteries would run out, it's voice would get all crackly and would wake me up.

It didn't scare me, but it freaked me the fuck out.

  • OH, MY GOD! When I was a kid I was terrified of them, because when I got my first Furbie that my brother who's 2 years older loved, it was low on batteries. It said it's normal line but all low and slowing down each time! That disturbed me so deeply that I had Furbie nightmares until about a year ago!

Both my sister and I had furbies as children and they would randomly start talking. My sisters godmom gave her one and they were really hard to get because it was Christmas time. The day she gave my sister the furby a family friend (who was also a child) tried to give it some water and the furby went on a crazy killing spree! No jk but it did say FFUURRBBYY in a really deep voice then it never talked again...my sisters godmom was pissed.

    • I spent $100 on the giant Furby because I like it. I think it's really cute and worth the money.

I had a furbie as a child that would go off at night randomly. Not weird. But even when I took the batteries out, it still fucking made those noises.

I threw it down into my basement and haven't seen it since.

No, I'm not afraid of them. In fact I have about 60 of the original ones, plus about 4 of the newer ones. I even have 3 or 4 Shelbys, and a whole collection of bean bag Furbys and the little plastic ones from McDonald's. I love Furbys to pieces! They're so cute and I memorized the Furby language. I have the Furby trainer's guide book too. I even ad a Furby computer game before my cousin stole it. I'll admit it, I adore Furbys!

And in case you were wondering, I'm a girl.

    • Wow, you sound like a real Furby Fanatic! I used to collect Furbies too until money became really tight. I still have some, but it's hardly a " collection ". Such cute little things, lol.

  • They remind me of Gremlins, they don't scare me though I just think there fucking ugly. Why would you waste $100 on a stuffed animal?
