  • I dont really like the terms handicaped or disability, because it suggests there is something wrong with them. There are many things most people do easily that I have a lot of trouble with, but I am able to do many things that nobody I know can do.

Define mentally handicapped. I see most people as being mentally handicapped--not in a cruel way. It is all relative. I may be seen as having a mental advantage where I work--In a grocery store. If I were to work at JPL, I'm sure I would be mentally handicapped. Perhaps, someone at JPL would be seen as mentally handicapped if they tried to make fine art.

I see everyone as being mentally handicapped. It is just a matter of degree and in relation to what.

I have glasses, but that's pretty boderline. However, depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorders run in my family. I myself have a depressive disorder, and it makes it much more difficult for me to deal with things that seem easy to everyone else. Eating, sleeping, excersize, my social life, relationships, work, SCHOOL, the arts, thinking, feeling, and keeping myself far, far away from bridges, rooftops, steep ledges, fast currents, and knives. Basically, all of life is at least five times the ordeal it should be.

I'm pretty sure I have some sort of color vision deficiency. I mix up shades of different colors. Never bothered to get officially tested cause the deficiency hasn't really hindered any part of my life.

Also, I have poor sense of direction and below average spatial thinking (thinking in 3D). But both of these have been improving with time. I think that's about it

I have a vision impairment, but it can be easily fixed. I just need glasses to legally drive.

I can't talk at a normal volume. My voice is very quiet and you have no idea how hard it makes life. I can't help it and people think I can and that's also extremely hard to deal with. Someone else's normal voice is me talking very loudly or yelling.
