You are right we should change it to "culturist" or "classist" rather than racist.

racism is not something your born with or taught, it is drawn from experience. We've all had bad experiences with people and it is natural to dislikea a race if you have bad experiences over and over. Racism is simply an opinion formed based on past events. It doesn't make you a bad person as long as you're not out hurt anyone based on race and remember that there are good and bad people in every race.....although some races have a higher ratio than others. It is perfectly normal to try and avoid people from a race you've had alot of bad experiences with. It doesn't make you a racist, it just makes life a little easier.

Sometimes when I see muslim men of middle-eastern descent in their traditional dress in crowded public areas, I think the following:
"I wonder how many of the people around me are gonna see this guy and instantly think of all the negative stereotypes associated with him. And then probably of Obama"

Definitely racist because I never look at a white guy and worry (with total disregard for what is and isn't my business) that he'll get discriminated against. Just not sure if it's negative racism or not, the trickier part of your question.

People are going to dislike other people for a variety of reasons. Some may happen to be a different race. Big deal. You can't do anything about that. I'm not a fan of most mexicans,(the ones I've come across) but I would never go beat one up or rob them or something, and I don't find it amusing when I read about that shit happening.

I'm not racist. Although, many people like to think I am. I joke a lot and more often than not, race is part of my joking. I joke about all races (mine included) and don't think that any race is better than another. Some people just don't understand my jokes. I don't use racial slurs either.

You have the choice to hate someone because of the color of their skin. But they didn't choose to be that skin tone. It wasn't in their hands. You are obligated to hate them, but realize they're obligated to hate you as well. We are all equal.

God, I am probably really racist and I don't even know it.

My best friend is of a different race, and so are several of my closest friends. However, I don't find myself emotionally attracted to men of a different race (in a relationship kinda way), but I DO find them physically attractive. I don't know if that makes me racist. I'm not saying I would NEVER get serious with someone of a different race, it just hasn't happened yet.

Race is a social construction. A plane ride can change your race. Your race is simply determined by society. Hence the reason why in some countries there are hundred of race classifications. I can't wait till race is as unimportant as the color of ones eyes. Peace.

I would hope that you would in most cases, set race aside when forming an opinion about someone and judge them mostly for what kind of person they are as a whole.
I think I'm more culturally biased. In that I dislike the "gangsta, playah" culture. Which often becomes associated with one particular race or creed. Though this bias has NOTHING, to do with said race or creed.

Technically everyone is a racist. It all goes back to our evolution where the pathetic humans had to gather in small scavenger groups to survive. Naturally the most aggressive, vicious male rose to the top and got all the chicks and reproduced the most. So if you look at the gene pool it's certainly bent in that direction of racism. The human race is pathetic! period. Do you think a cat like Ghandi would have survived very long in the good ol' days. I am amazed that he lived in the 20th century.
