I have come to terms that I am going to die, and there is not a damn thing I can do about it. It just makes me thankful for what I have now.
Not dying, per se, but I hate the idea of not being alive. The powerlessness and lack of any conscious existence for ever and ever more is kind of overwhelming.
Yes. Life is all I know, and death is something entirely different to anything I know. When the time comes, will there even be an "I" to know it?
It makes biological sense to be afraid of death, so it's definitely normal and healthy (unless it gets to the point of obsessing about it).
No because heaven is a restaurant with endless free food where you never get fat.
Yes! We all have very short lives! To have a long one, stay healthy and eat your sushi! Thats what I'm doing, so I would die at the age of 117.
No, death is nothing but a part of life. We're all going to die one day. And sadly, there's no avoiding it.
Yes, I am afraid.
If I were not, I wouldn't look both ways before I cross the street, buckle my seat belt, refrain from taking large amounts of drugs or drinking large amounts of alcohol... The point is, I try to avoid it whenever I can. I want to continue living and I am afraid to die. It is not only instinct but my own personal feelings as well. I want to live long enough to achieve my goals in life.
I know that death is a natural part of life but so is miscarriage, depression, disease and so on. I will try to avoid all of the aforementioned whenever I can.
You cannot escape death so why worry about it. When it's your time it's your time nothing will change that.
The only time you fear death is when you think about it. So I try my best not to.
Yes, I even fear growing older and older cause that's just one step closer to the end... or whatever happens when we die. Though it's not a panic/sweating type of fear, it's more like a I-really-don't-want-this-to-happen-so-I'll-try-not-to-dwell-on-it fear.
I think of death much like an autistic child probably thinks of moving house. Its a traumatic uprooting from all established routines and settings into something completely unknown and unfathomable; it's as scary as hell.
It's normal if you're a puny mortal but me? I am a god.
The echoes of my triumph will reverberate throughout the world in tribute to me for time immemorial.
Well, this is quite a morbid question, but I will anwer it like this.
I don't think that anyone is afraid of death in itself. I think it is the time, place, and reason that we are afraid of. For example, dying right here, right now due to the attack of a crocodile would be a pretty scary thing, but dying 50 years from now due to an old failing heart is not a very frightening though. We are all going to die, that is a natural part of life, but I think it's the situation that most people fear, not just death within itself.
I am not afraid, but I enjoy life most of the time so I am not looking foward to it at all.
