I'm a girl and own a ball python, all my friends, and co workers think I'm crazy. its funny to me how many men and women I know who are scared of an adorable snake, what about you, are you scared?

"don't mind" is an understatement. I think they're CUTE.

Snakes have never bothered me.
When I was a child, I caught one and tried to keep it under my bed as a pet. My mother, who is quite terrified of them, was doing an impromptu search of my bedroom (which was usually only a weekly occurrence) and found it. I was in so much trouble.

My dad kept had pet snakes (California Kingsnakes) in the house from when I was born to when I was 3, so they're part of my earliest memories. I'm not scared of them, and the ones we had were actually kind of cute.
I'm only scared of dangerous ones. I've held quite a few fairly large "safe snakes" before, but I don't know which specific types.
I think snakes are cool. Spiders, now that is another story :l
I know what you mean. I have a pet burmese python and people are terrified of her. I love my snake :)
I don't think any animal is really a pet if it would escape from you at the first chance it has. A dog and a cat have some loyalty to you. If you let them outside they may wander but will probably come home. Let your snake outside and see what happens.
I've never really seen many snakes that could attack me before. But I'm usually scared of anything that has a good chance of killing me.
Which makes my phobia of moths irrational and very confusing:L

I've only been scared of the initial "wtf was that?!" but when I see its a snake I don't mind. I used to catch garden snakes for fun when I was little.
I am a girl , they don't bother me . Just don't put one in my bed with me and were cool .
Snakes repulse me.their so hideous and that creepy way they slither around.the huge ones are different i mean like the med size ones the brown and black one maybe green.ugh
I like them, but they ALL bite. Plus it's pretty grosss when they come out of hibernation and there's thousands of them pouring out of their den. Disturbing.
Also, remember the scene in Indiana Jones where they cut open the big snake and hundreds of babies come out and they eat them??? Gross.
I ate a rattlesnake once at a rattlesnake round-up, saw them slaughtered and ate some, it was not good. The smell was gross when they were slaughtering them.
i'm a girl and i think they move slowly, leisurely uncoiling then Bam! the speed they strike their prey is unnerving, i feel shivery when i look at them
I loves snakes. My friend's mom is afraid of them because she thinks satan created them :p
Not as much as I am of spiders. The actual snake doesn't bother me, it's not knowing whether or not that particular snake can hurt/kill me, or strangle. I've never gotten bit by a snake and I would hate to find out what that's like, so because of that - I don't like them. Except for chicken snakes, because I know what those look like and they're harmless to me.
one time a snake tried to bite me but he was too slow and i grabbed him by the neck and broke his neck
