As technology grows, people will grow anti-social and unintelligent?

This is the generation of technology, but while there are many pro's, there are allot of cons. Will people end up lazy, and too dependent on machines and electronics to do everything for them? As text lingo has become a part of the dictionary, will the younger generation become less intelligent and lack communication skills?

Lol. Omg, like totally no. smh. w/e. 8

It depends entirely on the person. I'm in college, and most of my friends find email and Facebook so impersonal, that they've taken to writing old fashioned letters to their good friends. You know, buy old, crisp stationary, and take your time writing something meaningful. There was always be those who speak wisely and love fully, regardless of what is happening in the world. I'm determined to try to be like those people.

Yeah, Me and my friends write and mail letters to each other from college. It's just more meaningful and sentimental. And I'm able to keep them and reread them. :)

  • Like I've said in the past, humanity isn't evolving but our technology is.

  • "Intelligence" is a complex subject.

As for "anti-social", just the opposite is true. Many people seem to be obsessed with mindless, nonconstructive socialization and rely on cell phones and the internet to do so.

  • No joke, I actually think we'll eventually become like those people in that movie Wall-E who are too fat to move around themselves due to heavily relying on machines to carry them.
Technology is awesome, but at the same time is making us become lazy... I see a bleak future ahead of us for many reasons.

Thanks to the internet virtually any kind of information is readily and conveniently available, compared to the old days when people were forced to visit the library or crack open often dusty, boring, and obsolete encyclopedias.

I'm not sure if we could be less intelligent considering all the technology made to help learning and things like that. Just because something is new and different from what it used to be, doesn't mean it's worse.
Teachers think that we ("we", because I'm still in high school), use alot of slang and forget about grammar while on the computer, but if anything, typing so often helped me. I usually avoid all the U istead of you, smh, and g2g shit.
