It was about 9 or 10 when I realized I was for sure at least bi-curious. From the first time I had another boys cock in my mouth, I knew I loved the feel of it.

I was eleven when I started to realize it, but I pushed the thoughts away and then acknowledged them almost a decade later.

I knew I was straight, but with an unusual fetish, from early childhood onward... as far back as I can remember. I didn't have the terminology or concepts to categorize it, but I knew I was attracted to females, and I was attracted to them in a secret unspoken way which was far different from the way most males are attracted to females.

How does anyone know before puberty? Puberty is when you start feeling sexual attraction. Doesn't everyone assume they'll probably end up straight until otherwise..uh.. matured? Maybe you feel a bit "different" than the rest of your sex, but that might be due to mild gender dysphoria rather than sexual confusion. Remember people, hererosexual and homosexual don't refer to anything but attraction. If you're a kid and you like football at 6, it doesn't mean you're straight, and if you like interior design and fashion at 8, that doesn't mean you're gay.

I realized I was straight or normal as I called it, the first time I saw a documentary on 2 gay guys getting married (sometime around 1996-1999)as a toddler.

At 1st I didn't understand what the presenter was talking about or what all the hullabaloo was about , with the dad talking about how he came to except his son's decision etc.
Until I realsied that the 2 guys in suits were getting married, at which point I started feeling something was off and didn't make sense.
as a result I completely forgot all about it and went on with my day.

we soon moved out of the states, and since then I had forgotten such sexuality even existed, I was so separated from the Gay community I didn't even know Homosexuals were a real thing rather than a funny sketch on a cartoon show.

It was only when we moved back to the states that I was re-introduced to the concept and got used to it that I came to acknowledge its existence. I soon after, learnt the words "straight" and "gay" while overhearing 2 girls asking each other about their sexuality(which was a very weird thing to overhear) That was also the time that I started using the terminology. before that I thought the opposite of "straight" was "crooked".

I mostly learnt about the LGBT community thanks to TV and then from the internet.

Is it possible for a girl to be gay? I thought they were called lesbians! Am I going crazy? Dfntly not, cuz I already am.
But anyway, has my life been based on a lie?

Gay primarily refers to men but it also often used as a general term to mean homosexual. Calling a lesbian gay is like calling a Labrador a dog. It's less specific.

Female gay people are called lesbians, you are correct.

I'm neither of those things. Bi, pan, and asexual + people exist too.

I've been identifying as bi for about a year. I've known for a long time that I wasn't attracted to just men or just women.
