Babysitter scared my children on purpose
I found out she snuck under my older son's bed and made monster noises all night, shaking the bed. She unplugged the lights and my sons were too scared to get out of bed. Was this supposed to be playful?

I would encourage getting a new baby sitter. And no thats not playfull thats just mean.
Scaring children and kids is a wonderful experience and hard to pass up once you understand that soon they'll grow up and you will have missed experiencing the joy of making loud engine sounds with your mouth behind a toddler or going buahahahahaha behind a 2 year old and laughing as they freak out.
It sounds immature, and unprofessional. She obviously took things too far and you need to make sure she knows that so it doesn't happen again.
Sounds fine just as long as she didn't actually hurt them. Ive scared people before, and ive been told that unless its someone who suffers from a heart condition or has psychological trauma, its really fine. I would make sure of her intentions though. She might just be trying to be sadistic, in which case find a new baby sitter.
oh man she sounds awesome , and creative . i wish i had a babysitter when i was a kid.
Looks like you have something you need to tell this babysitter!

Maybe it was supposed to be playful, but it sounds ill-judged.
However, while I'm sure your little darlings never tell fibs or exaggerate, it is a fact that kids have been known to do this now and then. Is it really plausible that a babysitter would hide under a kid's bed and make monster noises "all night" when she could be doing something much more interesting like watching crap TV or sitting in the living room dealing with all the major teen crises that are constantly developing on social media?
