Bakery names??

I'm taking Business Management at the college I go to. I'm starting my business plan and need to come up with a name for my bakery. I'm having a really hard time trying to pick a name for my bakery, there's just too many to come up with. I've already got a slogan: "The Heavenly Taste of Perfection". So I was thinking just a simple bakery name like my name bakery or something that goes more a long with my slogan.

Just wanted to see which you thought was best or to see if you could come up with something better if you didn't like any of them. Also I'm not necessarily going to pick which one got the most votes. Thanks

"My name" Bakery 1
"My name" Bakery Delights 12

Well now that I read where you live, why not Beth's Buckeyes and Breads? Nothing sells things faster than having some kind of local edible. But why you would stay there is beyond me. I left years ago, and it was the best choice I ever made.

            Lol.

I truely haven't ever made buckeyes... you would think I would of from all the candies I've made.

A lot of people here sure don't seem to like it. But I some reason do with the different seasons and the state parks around here. I'm also rather close to my family is the thing... I really don't know what I would do being so far from them. I'm fine with being 3 hours away though.

But why did you choose to leave, was because of the economy here?

I moved away to go to college somewhere outside of the state. I actually went to Florida. I do enjoy the seasons, and the less allergies, but the economy, the crime, and the people are not missed. Most of my family lived in Ohio also, and some of my only friends still do. But I swore to never set foot back in the state once I finally saw the world outside of it. I spent 19 years there, and I'm glad I got out while I could. To many corrupt cops too. I'm sure if I thought about it I could find other reasons I'm glad I'm gone.

And the state parks were nice. At least they were 18 years ago. I shudder to think how horrible they would be today. Ohio also had some good pizza. At least the area I was in did.

It should be something creative, but also simple.

There's a show called Top Chef: Just Desserts and season 1 they had to make teams and come up with a name. One team picked " Whisk Me Away". I'm not saying pick that, but something just as creative.

    - Mix it, Bake it, Taste it
    - Baking Queen
    - The Magic Kitchen
    etc.

I agree with SOT9, if you use religious connotations you might end up alienating groups of potential customers. "Euphoria" sounds good.

      Thanks.

I just thought of one "Batters Away". lol.

But I went with "The Sweet Escape". I could always change it for the future though since this isn't my actual, actual business plan.

Bethany, Bethany, Bethany. I know this is the eleventh hour, but I think that you are setting yourself up for failure. The idea of succesful business is to attract as many customers as possible. Your slogan has religious connontations and will be unappealing to segments of society.
Your name also is biblical in origin and probably is a combination form meaning 'house of dates' (Date Palm) and 'poor house'.
Many people would consider these things insignificant, but they actually often act subliminally on people.
I will make a suggestion for a new name and slogan.
    Name: Chicky Chake Bakery
    Slogan: Specializing in Cheesecake
    (Keep it simple).

What do you think of the name "The Sweet Escape"?

Also "The Heavenly Taste of Perfection", meaning that it will taste delicious. Heavenly= delicious or sweet.
I could put "The Luscious Taste of Perfection". lol

Although you are a sweet person, people associate sweets with fat. Here in the states, is an obesity epidemic. Many people (I'm not one of them, I'm skinny and love cheesecake) are conscious of their weight problem and will avoid sweets.
        I like luscious over heavenly.

The stairway sounds about the best or if you are really struggling for a name you could maybe call it "The Bakery with no name". Good luck with your new business adventure. xx

I guess it depends where you live. Different countries have different styles. In America, it would be "Bread Barn", or something (I personally think "Bread Shed" is better though). In Australia, it'd be something like "Bonzer Rolls and Sangers". In France, they'd go for the straightforward "La Boulangerie-Patisserie" . In England, they'd probably go for a play on words like "Roy's Rolls" (as in Rolls Royce).

      Well I'm from the U.S. :)

The thing is my bakery is going to have a wide array of baked goods. I was thinking of naming it just BB's Bakery even. I'm not sure??

I should name it Buckeye Bakery. Haha... You might know where I live if you live in the U.S.

why use your name and not a made up?

"Bobby Brights Blissful Bakery" - Enjoy the heavenly taste of perfection!

Euphoria sounds more like a night club.
and getting _TOO_ religious with the names would actually repel me, fearing your employs will quote the bible at me when i just want a brezel.

      Lol.

Trust me wouldn't hire people that religious unless that person would be a great worker and would not get ticked off at non-religious people.

But I wasn't trying to make it sound religious by any means. Just a bakery that sounds comforting in a way.

BUT....name a bar 'The Library' so when your wife/husband/parent asks where you've been, you can say that and not be lying.

'Man, I'm tired today, I was at 'The Library' all night' sounds good too.

Hahaha that's true! I love it! I had forgotten about one I knew called The Office. The same bit applies and people did use it. "Oh honey, I'm at the office still, it might be an all-nighter ... Yes, the boss is here. Ok, babe. See you in the morning, sleep tight, luv you. --- WOOHOO!!"
