But anyway, I think this is NOT normal at all. You have to get some help RIGHT AWAY. If you don't, then you could go into court, have your children taken away from you, and even be tooken to jail for Child Endangerment. Get a family therapist. And after your done, you should manage your anger problems . If they annoy you, you should just be calm, don't explode. Since I'm not a mother and I never came from an abusive household, I wouldn't know much, but please resolve this issue ASAP. I really hope the best of wishes to you and your children and that you will realize that abuse is not the answer.

Regardless of how much they infuriate you, they are small, they are weak, they are inexperienced--they are children. Whether or not they know what they're doing, you should be the mature and level-headed adult, you should be the one showing them how to act. As it is, you're showing them to be violent if they don't get their way.

You need to find a more effective and less destructive and abusive way of managing your household. The only discipline they know is what you show them. You've started beating them, so now you will have a harder time getting them to respond to "normal" discipline. The longer you continue this, the harder it will be to ever go back to normal.

A lot of people have and do beat their children but it's never a good idea. Spanking with an open hand is acceptable only if they are under 10. It's not ok to beat anyone with an object or hit them anywhere except the butt that is considered abuse . Even leaving marks is abuse. You should get help with your anger maybe you need some tranquilizers. I sometimes hit my son when he was very small because I had undiagnosed depression and it still bothers me to this day he is 8 now and I'm pretty sure I'd never hit him again. It's hard having kids and you won't be perfect but try to change this problem before it ruins your relationship with your kids. Or before someone reports you for abuse.
