just found out my bf cheated and i took him back. am i wrong for doing that? i’m still really sad and i told him if he ever does it again he’ll never see me again. am i stupid? haha. what should i do to make sure he doesn’t do it again
Don't blame anything he does on yourself, or think that anything you do can stop it from happening again.
I don't know who said this but it's true: "what you accept is what you will get."
It doesn't make you stupid, but it might make you sorry.
There is nothing and nobody worth more than your self respect. Not even this guy. In fact, especially not this guy.

The only time I could see that as working is in a longterm marriage and it happens once because I dont think you should just throw a whole marriage away. But in a relationship... It will most likely happen again too. I had a hard time leaving a guy I loved too onc after he cheated we just took a "break" instead which for me was really a way to force myself to distance myself from him little by little. He tried to convince me to forgive him but in the end he was still never even trying to be faithful and ended up with the chick he cheated with immadiately after we officially broke up.
If you feel like it's on you to do something to make sure he doesn't do it again, you probably shouldn't have taken him back. The only real reason to was being 100% certain he wouldn't do it again already.
All I can say is mean it when you say he'll never see you again if he does it again.
I'm really more the type to dump someone completely, and never speak to them again for cheating.
