Boyfriend with autism doesn't want to live together. is it normal?

He has high functioning autism but his main trait is extreme sensitivity to his environment. He says it's too overwhelming and he needs to live in his own place because he lived with his brother and it was stressing him out because he says his brother put the cereal boxes back the wrong way, didn't clean the bathroom properly, wanted the lights on, talked to him when he needed his alone time etc.

He moved out and lives alone now and says it's better for his melt downs and sensitivities like light, noise and smells and even though he loves you and loves being with you living in the same place would be bad for his autism.

Is there any way you two could come up with a compromise? Like maybe get a place together and reserve a room or two where he can make it his own space?

I think people would have better relationships if they didn’t always share the same space.

I think it's just OpenOffice those things you either have to put up with in the relationship, or you could end it if it's too much of a hurdle for you. But I wouldn't recommend ending it if you have a good thing going.

Who cares? If you don’t like it then date someone else who isn’t mentally disabled. He probably won’t even notice you’re gone.

My bad I forget that some y’all have no other choice but the bottom of the barrel when it comes to dating. 🤣

Read your own username and give it 10 or 15 minutes to sink in. You'll get it eventually, I believe in you

What is you modern fiends and expecting to live with someone you're not even married to? Get married, then live together; not the other way around.
