    A friend of mine is asexual. She has a kid with her boyfriend, so she's obviously not REPULSED by sex. She just doesn't like it.

    A lot of people use that label to try to seem different from everyone else. That's why there are so many "asexuals" that claim that label then proceed to talk about their kinks and how they like getting dick slapped in the bedroom.

    I dont care, been on a bender without my testasterone and I can see the lifestyle of an asexual. 99% the same, just dont enjoy sex.

    Now do they need a stripe on that ghastly pride flag? Probably not, same for intersex, africans, sex workers, pan etc. The original 4 I guess was catchy enough.

      oh god, the rainbow flag gets worse every time i see it. first the black and brown stripes (since being black is a sexuality now i guess) and then that huge triangle. who knows what they're gonna add next.

      Seriously though, there already is a color on there for asexuals, it's the gray one. Gray encompasses a few sexualities, like Demisexual, etc.
      But I do agree the original 4 was fine. It's getting too crazy.

        Seeing how the first 2 sentences related to my own experience and thus understanding of asexuals I think not.

        I'm intersex and I hate that stripe on the pride flag. No one asked, it was assumed we were a monolith. I'm here on IIN to wholly disagree with the notion that a physical condition warrants to have a spot on an originally sexual orientation flag.

    I've never had any sexual urges or desires. Like Lloyd described his experience, my life is pretty normal other than that I just have no interest in sex and never have. I don't feel it's a big deal, really.

    I have regular urges because i'm a human being and that's how a healthy body works, however I have no desire to act upon them and they are only annoying and stressful to me. To people who thinks being ace would be nice though it isn't. Imagine falling in love with people experiencing romantic attraction and a desire for exclusively sharing your life with a specific person, and they leave because sex won't be part of the equation or would only happen rarely because you are doing the partner a favour but not actually desiring it. Not an easy life. Sure there are other asexuals but they aren't easy to find, and rarely are they on dating apps since dating apps are typically associated with hookups.
