Can’t say ‘sex’ on plenty of fish?

I never really cared for this app because it always had people who were either like backwoods country bumpkin, fugly, or just too blue collar for me, or just too simple.

Well I joined again because I’m trying not too be too picky or judgmental but also a little desperate in these challenging times, and guess what? POF has gone woke just like OkCupid!
Apparently you can’t say the word sex or ‘sexual’ on your profile, and if you do, it’s essentially erased/censored and the word ‘ual’ or ‘uality’ appears.
Why the hell this is happening is beyond me. It is a dating and hookup site, people are looking for sex, romance, etc. This word and what it means to us, should be offensive to no one. There is no reason to remove this word.

Just another day in this crazy world of paradise we live in.

This is the best problem of all time. Hands down. On my next dating profile, I'm gonna encourage people to respect my uality

All of my statements below come from a place of never using a dating app. Bare that in mind.

If you want a fast paced, sex on the first couple of dates situation I think Tinder is the main app for that. It's expected to happen. Other sites likely want to seem more...Wholesome.

As for my thoughts on it, if those sites want to present themselves that way it's their choice. I also find it weird you choose "woke" to describe the situation since sex aversion is more of a conservative thing. The left are all about sex. They had the whole "slut walk" movement.

Yeah but the left are busy censoring and changing terms so people aren’t offending by things.
Which is confusing but that’s the whole hypocrisy going on; they would all be for sex positivity and what not, but then a group of trans activitists might posit some wild idea that ‘sexuality’ isn’t ok to say because it probably promotes a binary culture… that’s my guess.

I know what you’re saying about the right but I don’t think that’s the case here, I used the app years ago and saying the word wasn’t a thing. It’s not like this is Christianmingles.com…. Though I would say maybe the type of people who use POF might be more conservative vs other apps for the younger/progressive generation.
