Can you be addicted to maps?

All I can think about is maps 24/7, it's taking over my mind. I spend hours cross referencing different types of maps and plotting the patterns onto new maps. I've noticed a lot of anomalies and strange things while comparing LIDAR maps with current and historical maps. I need to stop saying maps it sounds weird now. It sounds stupid but it's becoming a problem.

It's something you're interested in, and although it may not be a common interest it's still a constructive interest. I support you in your interest in maps!

I’m interested in maps as well, but not to quite the same extent. Mostly because I want to travel the world some day, so I like to be familiar with maps (although I realize that they change every few years or so do to new nations appearing and old ones disappearing).

MAPS, MAPS, MAPS! It does sound weird now!

I love, love, LOVE maps, too! They're not on my mind 24/7 but I have several of them up on my walls and a few globes around my house and work place!

I have maps on my walls too :D
I'd like a map that covers my whole wall but they're crazy expensive. Does this count as a life goal?

Haha! It so does!!! I don't have any that cover a whole wall yet either but I have more than a normal person does! I always bring back home maps of cities where I've been, but just those from tourism offices, the one that I used and drew all over and a virgin one. My favorites are by far world maps! ♡ I'm curious to know what kind you have.

I have Ordnance Survey maps, they're the best for detail, and a few randoms. Sadly you can only get historical/LIDAR maps digitally. But if you have all the data you can combine everything and make your own mega map :P

I know SOME of you needle dicks or rotten cooters who use this site will think this is a spam or stupid thing but let me say -

I work with some autistic guy (yeah he is weird) who has this weird thing about Canadian license plates. OR if the name of a town in Canada is the same as someone's name, he will, sure as shit stinks, print off a photo of it and bring it to work to show the person.

So yeah, being obsessed with maps, while not real common, isn't THAT weird.

good to like maps it really helps on the geography round when it comes to quizzes. without looking at maps a lot I wouldn't have been able to win a quiz because the question was what continent is Bhutan in. Asia obviously (well for me but not for most people)

There's actually a movie that reminds me of you. There's a guy who used to work at FBI. He's still 'working' on a case and collects maps and other stuff to hang on the wall. he starts to see codes in the maps and believes he cracked the case, but he didn't because turns out he was crazy

Most maps are a hoax. Earth looks more like a soccer ball.

its called a football, I'm American and think that what we call football is just a shit version of an actual sport rugby which you can talk to more people worldwide about than you can NFL. The balls used in American football are just rugby balls but slightly worse)
