I believe that the Bible was made to evolve throughout the ages. Many of its' lessons are good: love thy neighbor, thou shalt not kill, etc. However, there are many topics that are not applicable to today's society. For example, most places around the world do not condone slavery, although there are stipulations on the treatment of slaves in the Bible. I think following the core teachings of the Bible, all of which involve loving yourself and others, would be the best way to remain in God's favor.
I think so...
Ephesians 2:8-10: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
it's jesus who saves you, not the Holy Bible
Couldn't have said it better. The main thing is having Jesus Christ in your heart as your Lord and savior. After that everything else will fall into place.
sure but keep in mind that whatever you do to others you are doing to God, so if you threat others like a pice of toilet paper then God will also threat you like that, I do believe there are many zones in heaven for ppl according 2 what they did to others, yep thre are also cries in heaven
You don't have to read the bible. Try sitting on a hill and look at the world and you will see god. I don't care if you believe in evolution. If you open your eyes and mind God is there.
Not according to the Bible no.
I wouldn't worry about it though, it's all made up about hell and stuff. People have died and have gotten resurrected with electricity and they never reported a heaven or hell. Some claim to have had an out-of-body experience, but that doesn't sound like it had much to do with the Christian afterlife options. I assume that's what you're worried about.
People wrote the bible, just like Chinese whispers changes, you can't be 100% certain that it's all what god wanted. I think you just have to search for him yourself and ask deep inside you, what does god want from me. The answer is there. I guess we will all see and know soon enough
