In the United States, would it be legal to go to a pet store, buy a dog and then kill it and eat it? I hear it tastes good and want to try it. Also, does anyone know of any good ways to serve it? There’s nothing in the cookbooks for dogs. Also, what about a cat? I would like to eat one of them too.
If would be better for a person like you to starve than for a canine to be harmed in such a way!

Most dogs, and lots of cats are saints! What was amazing and spiritual for me was going to the pet cemetery in Las Vegas to visit our old collie, and seeing all the beautiful graves of the police dogs. Those canine officers made the ultimate sacrifice for their partners, it's just really deep and heavy to think about. So when I meet people who just have a shitty a flippant attitude about dogs I think those people are absolute garbage! Words can hardly describe the awesome nature of dogs. I'd rather starve to death myself than to eat dog or cat meat, for me it would be evil, unnatural and unholy.

Well you could always go to the local Golden Dragon restaurant and order the General Tso's Chicken Surprise. I would venture a guess it isn't chicken and you just might find out what dog (or cat) tastes like. Surprise.
Dog & cat recipes will be hard to come across as eating dogs & cats doesn't really feature in western cuisine.
As for the legality of acquiring said animals for the purpose of killing & consumption, I would seek counsel from the local law enforcement agency.
I'm quite sure they will be keen to add you to their dossier of piss drinkers they need to keep an eye on.

Eating a dog is really no worse than eating a pig. They have similar levels of intelligence, and both can be loyal pets.
Again, you absolutely should NOT go out and fucking do that. However, this comments section is full of biased and delusional hypocrites.
Animal abusers are in fact more hated in prison than even pedophiles, and experience more consequences as well.
Laws vary from State to State. Some States specifically prohibit it, other don't. Stats where you can will have regulations on how you can put the animal down.
