Can you repeat highschool as an adult?

I really didn't have the best High-school experience. In fact in my 11th year I was put back in 10th grade since the school system crashed and they put everyone in the wrong classes.

So I basically just skipped from 10th to 12th. I really don't feel like I learned that much in school. I also don't want to sign for college since I don't feel like I am going to score well enough. Is there a way to redo HS classes? or something you can sign up for to make sure you do well on an entrance exam?

I also graduated with a low GPA score but it was enough to graduate. So I not sure a college is even going to accept me.

I would advice that you sign up to take remedial classes at community college or junior college. Also, I don't know if this is a possibility, but you could also try to find out if there's a GED class that you could audit.

  • Theres places where they hand you a booklet for you to complete and give you a couple months to complete it one booklet for each highschool credit. Wish I heard about this instead of going to highschool lol.

Check if there is adult learning centers near you. Colleges offer certain HS classes.

  • Where I live once you turn 21 if you are still in high school or want to go back you can take high school classes at the college to get an actual diploma. I did this and graduated as an adult.
You already graduated though so I don't see any reason for you to do this. Anything you can learn in school you can learn online.

geez, i have nightmares like this.. anyway, I don't think you really learn all that much in HS that is relevant in college, at least that was my experience. Except maybe for math, such as Algebra (but you probably learn that in about 8th or 9th grade, right..?) and language, if you liked. at my university for general education it was basically like high school classes, or just common sense- do what the teacher tells you and you get a good grade.. really use nothing from high school in college except maybe for some math but even that is not difficult to pick up at the college freshman level.. if you want to try, go for it... you wont know if it's right for you or not until then..

If you want to go to a decent college but don't have the grades, a lot of universities have programs that will allow you to transfer from a community college after proving yourself. You can do part of an undergraduate program at the community school and then finish it at the university.

That's certainly a hell of a lot better than not going to any college at all. You need to really work with the school counselors to make this happen though.
