Heh I'm 27 and I still love cartoons. Disney, Dreamworks, Pixar, Miyazaki and all other anime, I love them all. If cartoon network still has Dexter's Laboratory, Powerpuff Girls, I'd still watch it. I also love Nickelodeon's Aahhh! Real Monsters, Hey Arnold!, too bad I don't see them on my cable anymore.
whats wrong with that? I'm a 23 year old Brony!
I still watch many of the ones I loved as a kid, like Looney Tunes and Ed, Edd, n Eddy, as well as some of the newer stuff, like Avatar: the last Airbender/Legend of Korra, and My little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
I dont see a problem, and there is many, many more like you and I.
Yes! My English teacher would always be talking bout how much he loves south park! Haha it's normal!:)
I'm an animator. Yes we normally have a demographic in mind but EVERYONE should be able to enjoy cartoons.
Hey can I ask you a serious question? What did you do to become a animator in high school? For instanse what kind of classes did you take? pardon me for this next question--> being an animator, do you get payed well?
There were no animation classes in my high school so I took art classes. I didn't take a painting class which I regret because It made my painting class in college harder. So for high school take Drawing, Advanced Drawing, AP Studio Art (and I wish Painting)
There are a few school with really good animation programs: SVA, Cal Arts, SCAD, RCAD (Ringling) and full sail. In your portfolio you want at least half of your drawings to be LIVE studies. So do still lifes or find a figure drawing studio.
Yeah the pay is nice and like any other job it also depends on your position and company. For example Pixar is a REAL nice studio that's hard to get in to but pays great! Like all other companies some animation companies just aren't hiring. (Pixar and Dreamworks aren't hiring at the moment) but there are plenty of studios you can get into. I'd rather work in a small studio as a character animator than work in big studio as a Mr. Manhattan's dick rigger. (I'm trying real hard to get into Laika)
