Cat fishing?

ok its not as weird as it sounds. basically i just make a fishing rod with some thread and a rod and attach a little catnip toy as bait and go "cat fishing" with my cat. lol is this normal?

    They sell these at the pet stores so I'm pretty sure it's normal lol!
