Cat seems to be pregnant again after one month

So about a month ago/early September we saw a cat with a litter of 4 come into our backyard. They all looked healthy, but she didnt have a collar or tags so we dont know if shes a stray or a neighbors...

We saw her and the litter again yesterday/Saturday and she looks pregnant again?? After only one month???

Now I know nothing about cats but that just doesn't seem right.. do cats get pregnant that fast???? She could just have gotten fat as well but I really dont know.

She still looks healthy and whatnot so it's hard to tell if shes a stray but her being preggo again makes me believe so. It's really conflicting because on the other hand, she always looks very well groomed and never sick. I've tried googling cat pregnancy times and it says cats will be pregnant for 58 to 67 days. That's about 2 months... so idk maybe she was pregnant when we saw her the first time but even then that doesn't seem to add up...

If we see her again we'll try to take her to a shelter or something to see what's up. I'm so bewildered by this

    git the fuckin cat spayed already shes a slut!

    theres enough kittens out there what dont git taken care of and meet terrible fates

      We'll certainly try if we can somehow get her to a vet or shelter because Otherwise we have coyotes out here and I'd hate for something to happen to them

        It sounds like she might be a little bit feral; there are live traps for that. If you're not sure how to catch her and get her into a vet, call up your local animal shelter and talk it out with them.

    Cats are almost as good at reproducing as rats and mice.

    A female cat becomes sexually mature at the age of four to ten months. If she isn't impregnated, she will come on heat every twelve to twenty-two days. Pregnancy lasts about two and a half months, and then she normally nurses the kittens for about four weeks. Once she gets fed up with them nursing, she'll rapidly get pregnant again.

    Typically, female cats will have around three litters a year with an average of four kittens in each. They can keep this up for years and don't become infertile in their old age, so it's possible for a female cat to produce two hundred kittens in her lifetime. (And of course about half of them will be females who start having their own litters when they're a few months old.)

    The kittens you saw were presumably relatively mature if they were following her around the neighbourhood, so I think it's entirely possible she's preggers again. She could have been pregnant the first time you saw her, but not so far along it was obvious.
