Character is more important than personality
There’s a distinct difference because character is your moral values, beliefs and the way you treat people. Personality is how you act like how fun or interesting you are.
I think character wins by a long shot, especially in marriage. People say that if a spouse is bored, they’ll leave. But it depends on the person. If a couple keeps their faith in God and hopes for a better future, that makes up for much of the difficulty in their relationship.
My assumption is that conservatives see character as much more important because most Christian women, for example, don’t date guys who are atheist, no matter how fun they are. It’s a long term thing.
