Child eats cigarette buds? normal?

My 6-year old brother keeps eating cigarette buds that lay all around the house... blame my father for that. He says their delicious... Can these get him addicted?

    I'm not sure whether or not they can cause addiction, but it certainly isn't anything I would want a child to continue doing. Does your father not use an ashtray? I think a good solution would be to have him use one and immediately empty it once he's done, so the kid doesn't get a chance to eat them.
