Yee we had a cold front come through a few days ago, my wife is visiting family in the Chinese south so I don’t think she got it as bad as the north did
Saw the same numbers here in the Irkutsk Russian region, think it moved down from our way to their north. Sorry China
Once you hit the -40’s your nose hairs and eyelashes freeze, when I come in from working outside my spine feels like it’s twisting in a spiral and my wrists ache like crazy, hands lock up. You exhaust so much quicker in that kind of cold
China is further north than you think it is. They do share a border with russia.
The northernmost part of China is just south of the permafrost line. Mohe’s average high in January is -2F.
Being continental they have a somewhat high summer temperature average.
Weather is being fucky everywhere. Idk something with the wind current.
Normally winter where I am it's cold with the occasional blizzard and it snows every week or so.
We are melting weekly and getting absolutely dumped on between those warm periods.
Not saying its human caused climate change seeing how our planetary system varies enough to have an impact I'd say it's not completely our fault. Our perception of time is extremely limited. This could just be a weird decade climate wise.
It's normal for global cooling after global warming in China, China is that poor and very ordinary neighbourhood where peasants are cooking noodles with soy sauce, and eating winter rolls, it must be no fun in a land with a dictator, what's appropriate to a dictator isn't appropriate to the rest of us, in the West and South we use a fireplace or chiminea. In Finland they have saunas, in tropical Americas they use a spa, in USA they have a jacuzzi. I've never, on one hand, known of a jacuzzi suit, but in China they keep warm mainly in their clothes.
Dude I hate china as much as the next guy but even this is too much of a stereotype of the old China.
It's an economic behemoth that is now feeling the repercussions of extreme growth without growing into its shoes. You dont become an economic superpower over 30 years and dont cut every corner avalible.
Yet every single thing wrong with china is directly chinas fault. So I really dont care about the bed they are sitting in. They were the ones who dumped waste in their own water supply to the point that boiling doesnt make it safe.
They were the ones to alienate every neighbor they had to now it's a very apparent security risk of being blockaded to starvation easily.
China is gonna reap what they sow. Just dont stereotype them as their post ww2 great leap forward moment. It's far worse than that. Heck I'm sure we wont even make it to 10 billion people, think we are just gonna coast to 8 billion when china and india eat the cost of polluting their shit.
Great leap forward?! P'lease! Compliments of China is the last thing I want for China, I never thought of China as some stereotyped post-WW2 leap, I thought of China as a snowy, tea-growing, opium-smoking communist nation that's tight on the inventions that everyone has to share and doesn't allow any bad news from the outside world, they don't have salt, they have soy sauce with salt in it, that'd come to you as a culture shock, they also are mushroom freaks, they like enoki mushrooms.
What have I said was complementary? The great leap forward killed millions in the famine. One child policy directly undercutting chinas later economic prospects. If they wanted to remain the worlds cheap factory they should of kept pumping out babies like the make toasters.
Now they cant make anything more advanced then the shit they steal. Plus mr winnie eliminated every political rival and anyone who isnt a yes man. So he doesnt even know that China is fucked. Double if they get into any war.
Wait, the great leap forward killed people? I didn't know the dictators have outdone themselves, it turns out they're the most terrifying ever, without further ado the Chinese dictator is going to terrify the people anyway, given that dictators are cruel or oppressive, it turns out this behaviour deep down they're trying to be reasonable when it turns out all this is insufferable.
My guy, I've lived in China and your description of how people live out there maybe applied back in the '50s, but nowadays most people live in shitty apartments with radiator heaters
It's not back in the '50s, that was just a once off, with my post, it's over, if I say something, it was like that nowadays, my writing is suited to today's readers, I'm not consistent with evil things, therefore once I think of the '50s I never do it again, I know what they do nowadays, the Chinese are ultratraditionalist, what I said in my post is not like what I say now, it's over, it's not something to cling to, it's NOT what they did in the '50s, I'm not that kind of guy. And if you've been in China you must know what it's like and know that Chinese live in the snow. My experience tells me there's a Chinese dictator and although they are here now, they live in apartments in these compact units, with Buddhist religion, yes, I know what China's like, I know from experience, it was like that 3 days ago, it's not like the West, furthermore Chinese people know I'm right, I studied the globe, they have the yuan as currency, they're indoctrinated with the Tao, and they believe in the blue dragon, this overwhelms you with it not being the '50s.
