Clickbait, "almost broke the internet" i hate this term. iin?

One of my pet peeves is when someone posts a clickbait headline that says something along the lines of: "25 pictures that almost broke the internet"
for example:
Kim Kardashians ass, that gold dress or some fool twerking.

No... KK's ass didn't break the internet.

NOTHING has ever broken the internet.

The internet is fine.

is it normal I hate this phrase?

    Back in the good old days at the close of the 20th century, there were lots of research papers about physics and medicine on the Internet for recreational reading. Now that the Internet has been dumbed down for functionally illiterate people we must all suffer from their intrusiveness.

    I utterly despise clickbait, and these phrases.

    Kim Kardashian is a stupid whore, the gold dress is just a basic visual phenomenon, and twerking doesn't exist anymore, and hasn't since 2013.
