Cloth pantiliners?

Okay, I'm not some hippie eco green person. I just stuck a cloth scrap in my undies once as an experiment and it was so effective that I decided to use cloth instead of store-bought pantiliners all (well, most) of the time. I haven't had a single infection since. And it's HELLA comfortable.

Just because you care about the environment, doesn't mean that you are a hippy. You've got people from all walks of life who care about the environment.

Is there something wrong with being eco-conscious and green?

    • No, it's just that I don't do it out of eco consciousness but rather out of convenience. Being green is a side benefit I guess

years ago when you were on your period it was called being on the rag hence old bits of cloth were used.

Believe it or not, feminine products often do more harm than good. Scented or super absorbent pads can cause allergic reactions and infections.

That being said, I would rather use those than stick cloth in my undies and have to wash and re use that piece of cloth. Menstruation is really gross and I don't want anything more to do with it thAt I absolutely have to. Also, thanks to the wonders of modern medicine, I don't get periods at all anymore so the enviromentally friendly versus non enviromentally friendly sanitary product argument is no longer relevant to me at all.

I will say this though, I'm sure you are doing the enviroment a great service by not contributing to the pollution caused by all the feminine products such as pads, etc. Most of them are not made from biodegradable materials. I'm sure that they used cloth for these things back in the days where pads hadn't been invented yet so what you're doing isn't all that unusual.

How do you make these cloth liners? What cloth do you use so it doesn't leak?
