Clowns are evil

Ever since I could remeber I was always afraid of clowns. And now here i am 22 and i still cant look at a clown without hiding with fear!

Just the other day it was my 22 birthday. My boyfriend thought it would be funny to hire a clown just to scare the sh*t out of me.

I opended the front door to see a damn clown with an evil smile on his face. I screamed slammed thdoor in that things face and ran to hide behind the couch.

By boyfriend comes into the room with a camera laughing his ass off!

So is it normal to still have a phobia of clowns for so long?

    Coulrophobia- Fear of clowns

Its strange when a young 22yo is afraid of clowns, since about 30 or so years ago, many clowns have been imprisoned for pedophilia and murder, but they don't advertise it as much anymore.

I'm not afraid of clowns, but I wouldn't want one to touch me. I just don't think they're funny or entertaining, they're just creepy and stupid. If I met someone who told me they dressed up as a clown I'd find it *really* hard to like them.

Your boyfriend sounds charming. I'd almost prefer the clown, and I'm like you. I really don't like clowns either.

Yes it's part of the current culture to fear and hate clowns. I'd like to know where this originated though, since they were once used to bring cheer to people.
