College should be free.

I want to know why the government doesn't pay for college of it's own citizens which would be hundreds of billions of dollars but that's ok because our tax dollars easily could cover that. instead they make everybody pay for it themselves and use that money to hire more drug enforcement agents and equipment and task forces. They should stop that. Is it normal that our government has been doing this for at least 40 years?

No one paid for my college education. So I have no intention paying for your college party.

I don't think colleges are hiring drug enforcement officers with the money they collect.

Who the hell would pay for free college? The people working jobs have an obligation to pay for other kids education?

If this is America's youth we really are doomed.

The government would with our tax dollars. It's really simple. They just wouldn't have as much money to put in their own companies and stock investments.

It's a nice thought, but unrealistic. I mean... consider the average tuition of a college student. Some people pay upwards of 40,000 per year. If it were "free", you would have way more people attending, meaning even more money.

Consider that the average American probably pays about 17k in taxes a year. That number may even be high. If you have families with 1,2,3,4 or even more kids, who all want to go to "free" college, can you imagine how expensive that would be per household? When the average american is probably only paying 17k a year?

It's not just law enforcement that taxes are needed for. Healthcare, roads, schools, emergency services.

How do you suppose we can raise enough money to make all of those things, including free college, be a reality? We have 300 million+ people. Some people propose to raise taxes on the rich, but even that would not raise enough. I was watching an interview where the reporter pointed out that if you tax the top 1 percent of this country 100%, it wouldn't even be enough money to pay off all the student loans in this country.

I like the idea of free college, and hopefully ONE DAY it can be a reality. But right now, it is too expensive. We simply don't have the money from what I understand.

Yes, the gov should pay. I have great grades, (mostly A's) and I don't know if my fam will be able to pay for my collage. Even if I were to get a job. If you are smart, like really smart, the gov should pay. There are geniuses all over the world that can't pay for collage, but DESERVE it.

In many civilized countries higher education is paid for by taxes. The governments there want educated citizens and as long as you can pull off the grades not only are your tuition and books covered, your housing is arranged and a living allowance as well.

When I am elected Benevolent Planetary Sovereign this will become the standard for all citizens of Earth.

    and furthermore...

Free college is only acceptable under these conditions.

      1. It is paid for by taxes of the 99%.

      2. The majors and classes offered have a direct payoff in productivity improvements to the national economy. If you study Arts, Humanities, or equally cerebral stuff, you pay for your own tuition.

      3. General business disciplines are okay. Special financial topics such as wealth preservation, tax evasion, and international currency economics are forbidden. These elite topics can only be studied at private institutions so that we the 1% can retain privileged knowledge to remain at the pinnacle of society.

Because the government is cheap and because OBUMA has bankrupted the country to the tune of over 19 trillion in debt.
Those assholes that voted for him not once , but twice have nobody to blame but themselfs.
The voters wanted to make history by electing the first negroid president.
    They made history alright.
He has done nothing in 7 1/2 years and will do nothing for the next 5 months.
All he did was ram health care down everybody's throats that nobody can afford and the insurance companies are dropping Obumacare like a bad habit.
He lied saying that people can keep their own doctor.
The premiums have sky rocketed by 20 , 25 , 30 , 40 and some as high as 50 percent.
He has been the worst president in history.
Slick Hilly will be even worse , that dyke.
The election is rigged and in the tank for the corrupted Clinton's.
If anybody else had email gate like her , they would be in jail.
She is blowing Comey to keep her ass out of jail.
I hope that douche bag cunt has another blood clot on her ememba size brain and she croaks.

No, it's not Obama's fault. Everything is very easy to fix. All we do is quit giving trillions of dollars to israel every year. They do absolutely nothing for the united states. Fuck israel. Let them fight their war that they started with the arabs. Pull the troops out and spend the tax dollars paying for American citizens. Hilary has my vote as long as she stops the war on drugs, which is where the rest of all our money has gone to.
