Creation of a new game by you....

in my childhood we always used to create some new games.....
with new and different rules and something joyous to make it fun to play....
we had a game called "CINDERELLA THE SUFFERER" in which i used to be the step mother and my bestie was Cinderella.. and i used to be harsh with her and make her work and there used to be cries and dialogs and actions and songs and dances... and we enjoyed a lot..
there were some games of running and hiding, with different rules... for instance we made a game "elephant and his trunk" in which the runner would hold his nose crossing his right arm through his other arm.. and then run after us to catch us.. this made him look funnier and difficult to run after....
i was just wondering today if people here had done this in their childhood . if yes then which game was it .. im curious...

only typical sports (football, cricket etc) 1

    My brother and I had this elaborate game with linkin logs where you would build an army with them and roll some dice to decide how they move. We also played games where you would pretend the floor was lava and whatnot. In first grade, there was this class game called shark where the dirt was "water" and somebody was the shark and you had to run to a safe spot before you got eaten. Coincidently, my brothers and I also had a pool game called shark where the shark had to keep his or her eyes closed when there head was above the water, but they could open it underwater and once again try to eat the people not it.

    There were also all those common games: jumprope, freeze tag, four square. Ah, good times, good times.

    My elementary friends and I were were all pretty big into Pokemon back in the day. I remember that there used to be this large painting on the basketball court portraying the United States. All of the states were different colors. So, one day, I decided to come up with this game where you had to jump on one of the states and name a Pokemon. The Pokemon had to correspond to the color state you picked (eg. a fire type would be a red state), the opponent had to jump on a state and name a Pokemon who could beat that Pokemon. For instance, if the first player jumped on a red state and said Charizard, the second player could jump on a blue state and say Blastoid and he would win. We had so much fun with that game. There were all kinds of technicalities too, but I always had an answer that could be agreed on :)

        Its still pretty awesome though! What I used to do with my friends was play a live-action version of Pokemon. I remember there being two or three different versions. 1. Me and my friend(s) would be Pokemon trainers battling in a stadium. We'd throw out our pretend Pokeballs, call out the commands and then battle to the death. 2. This one would be played with three other people. Two would be trainers and the other two would be the Pokemon. We'd call out our Pokemon and they would have to act out our commands. 3. I think there was one where we role-played Pokemon Dungeon.

        We would also "role-play" with other things like the Incredibles or Digimon. I remember once I wanted to Dash and my friend told me I could only be Elastigirl or Violet so, I went with Violet. It was shame that Mirage never got to show her powers in the movie unless, of course, her powers were that of Seduction. That would've made things a tad inappropriate...

          Oh, cool! Your versions sound even more intricate than mine were. I especially liked #2 :)

          Digimon was cool. Did you ever see the movie that came out? It was a childhood favorite of mine :)

            I did and I loved it. I even got these cards digimon card from the movie. Apparently, the movie was originally in Japan made as two different movies that had very little to do with each other. When it was made for international usage, they put those two films together as one. At first, I didn't realize this but then after seeing it again it started to make sense. The first segment features the original cast from Adventure 01 and the second part is set about 5 or ten years later with the cast of Adventure 02 and the plot was completely different from that of the first part.

              Wow, i never knew that. Kind of makes me want to watch it again. It's probably been 10 years or better since I've seen it though. Lol.

    I invented lots of games but the one I remember most and is by far the best I've invented was douball. It's just like fooseball but you need two fooseballs and you need to score both to get a point, I don't remember very well cause it was back when I was 10. Now I'm 20.

    My family was poor when I was a kid so my siblings and I had some pretty common games. But there was this one game that my brother made up and we still reminisce over it. So the game! We had patch 10x10 grass patch in the front of our house and my brother would get down on all fours and run around trying to tag my sister and I while we ran around the grass patch but if. Were tagged or step on the grass we have to become a cow and moo and try to tag them. Wicked exciting as a kid
