Customization in video games?

I'm very curious to see the opinions of others on creative control in video games. I played Mortal Kombat Armageddon and loved the option to create my own character on there. Creative control is why I fell in love with Saints Row. There are a couple games that allow you creative control over your character, even more that allow you customize vehicles and lofts. My boyfriend likes customizing his cars on GTA 5. I on the other hand like being able to have as much power in the game as possible. My brother will play these games and just skip the customization all together. What do you guys think? Is it just a girl thing or should there be more creative control in future games?

    When i first played fallout 3, i fell in love with the character creation. So much that i purchased in for my PC and took customization to the next level with skin mods, weapons, clothing, animation.

    Creative control is the main thing that draws me to games. Gotta have that ability.

    Farcry Predator Instincts map editor. Make maps and have friends over and kill each other over and over again. Its so much fun. A little old school-ish but fun nonetheless.
    I Haven't tried the third one yet, although I have the game. (it's still wrapped in all it's plastic-y wonder) I'm a little hesitant to because I know I'll spend hours just customizing my own maps so I can have game nights again. :)

      Just think it'll be so worth it you you finally do play it. I've been putting of the last edition of God of war myself.

    I was so dissatisfied when MK didn't continue with it. They stopped the mini games too :( need to bring it back

    Try Dragon Age: Origins. You can customize everything.

    Oh, I remember spending a good hour and a half to create my character in Saints Row 2.

    I enjoy having creative control as well. Every year I play a new WWE game and I always wind up creating anywhere from 10-60 different characters.

    I love creative control...so much fun!

    I liked that pokemon let you have some more customization With your character in x and y.
    Spore is another fun game i enjoy.
