Dairy makes me poo in my sleep at night.

i am a 44 year old male. I've never considered myself Lactose Intolerant before because I've never experienced any form of painful cramping or any other major effects caused by the condition. However, in the past year I have had a few incidents of diarrhetic pooing in my bed at night after consuming dairy products just prior to going to sleep. I am not experiencing any real pain or discomfort from the incidents, but It has become quite annoying and very embarrassing needles to say. I just wonder if this a common problem for men of my age and if there are any measures I can take to prevent this situation from reoccurring aside from the obvious one of not consuming dairy products at all before bed time. The most appreciative thanks In advance for any help in this situation.

You could try a lactase supplement but I'm not sure off the top of my head how effective they are.

I take them and they work most of the time, but's that's only if I take more than the recommended amount.

44 is not "that age" for anything yet, except that in some things you're expected to know better by now!
